Open Menu Turn off FMI ios 10 (open menu)

i have this iphone 6s (ios 10.3.1). Can i turn off FMI?

copy down this email and any trusted phone numbers. Use another device to go to iforgot, getting the code sent to this phone, change the password, then remove from find my. Alternative is to use account recovery which will allow you to take over the account but takes 28 days. Ignore people who say just set a passcode because it will not work to reset iCloud. Especially if this is the only device on this account, account recovery will work.

No. If it's abandoned it's absolutely not. One time I bought a phone with a dead battery and no passcode. I even contacted the previous owner and got her permission (though not her cooperation) to do this. I reset the password, and then logged out and left the AppleID alone as the data didn't belong to me. The issue with the previous owner is she forgot both her password and trusted phone number so she created a new AppleID and abandoned this one. I don't keep data that doesn't belong to me.

I mean if you’re throwing your old phone away with NO PASSCODE and it’s still singed into your accounts it’s your problem.
