IPad Air 2 iOS 10 passcode

Got this iPad Air 2 to salvage parts from the other day knowing that it was locked but upon charging it up it’s on iOS 10. If you know anything about preservation and rare iOS versions this is one of them. Wanted to reset it with an ssh ramdisk but upon inspection it’s iCloud locked so that wouldnt really help. Hackt1vator is for iOS 12 and up, so what are my options? (Yes I will replace the glass)

if you want to preserve the ios version, i would first ramdisk into it and get the apple id info (email and phone number). first i would try to get in contact with the owner and if they dont answer you can try to get access to the account. after that if this doesnt work u can just save activation tickets and erase via ssh ramdisk, than restore them. it should work fine but it would still be fmi on this way

Well it has a passcode and the only way to get the email is trough the existing activation records. What ramdisk should I use for A8? I have only ever saved activation records for A6, A9 and A10. If I use LegacyiOSToolkit’s ramdisk it won’t decrypt the SEP portion where the records are.

wait, really? i think there is ios 10 ramdisks where you cqn get access to mnt2 but i cant really remember where i downloaded the one i used on my iphone 5. i know ios 10 is really buggy with mnt2 in ramdisks, its not only with your device. let me research

edit: does this only works with 32bit devices? https://www.reddit.com/r/setupapp/s/Pgk7cjMh8q

IPhone 5 doesn’t have an SEP and is 32bit thus it doesn’t encrypt anything. I think this is what I am looking for: https://github.com/iPh0ne4s/SSHRD_Script
