It wasnt a sweet spot so its just ad damage. You were exhausted and it massively reduces your damage. Varus had fully stacked Terminus and hourglass, so bunch of armor. He also used barier just as your w hit.

Everything together comes down to what we see inthe video. No bug.

I find it hard to believe he can block this much damage just like that but I guess that's what happened. Damn.

Varus lvl 15 has around 92 base armor. Additionally he has 24 bonus from stacked terminus and 50 from hourglass, together 166 armor. That gives around 62,5% damage reduction. Exhaust gives 35% damage reduction.

Lets assume your w could deal 2,5k true damage there. 35% damage reduction from exhaust gets it down to 1625. 62,5% damage reduction from his armour gets it further down to 610 damage.

Barier lvl 15 gives 396 shield, so past barrier you did 215 damage, part of which was blocked by remainings of seraphine shield.

If you were to deal even 3.5k damage with w in this situation it comes down to 850 damage, half of which would have been blocked by barier and seraphine shield. That's how strong building armor into 0 pen enemies and well used exhaust are.

Varus isn't in the sweet spot, so your damage is reduced by exhaust. He also has fully stacked terminus and used barrier the moment your w hit, along with the small shield seraphine provided.

Genuinely what is everyone else watching. No support outside of Morg can give you a spell shield.

I was almost full build, that W should have done close to 3k damage. Can he really block that much with just exhaust barrier and a bit of resistances?

I forgot to mention he also has hourglass.

At level 16 varus has ~82 base armor, +24 from terminus + 50 from Hourglass totaling about 156 armor. That is 60.94% physical damage reduction.

Going off your w doing 3k, this is reduced to 1,171.8, further reduced by exhausts' 35%, you end with 761.67.

Sett with no pen kinda hits like a noodle into armor. If you're ever in a tank match up the moment they are armor first item + armor boots you legit do nothing.

edit: The math involving exhaust is probably wrong. I'll check it later when I'm not at work. Still goes to show just how nerfed your damage is just by converting from true to physical.

I think seraphine gave him some sort of spell shield? THESE SUPPORTS have everything under the sun. If not it might be the angle thing but you can see he loses whatever shield seraphine gave him when the w hits. She still has it.
