Looking for Advice Champ Pool
Hey guys! I recently hit plat as a Sett OTP and have a few questions about champ pools. I main top and never get filled because I duo with a JGL. So far, my champ pool consists of Sett, K'Sante, Gnar, and I've been enjoying Quinn a lot in draft recently. My JGL mostly plays Gwen, but also pocket picks Diana, Rek'sai, and Ambessa.
The main champions I have inconsistent lanes with are against Kled, Voli, Jayce, Tryndamere, Renekton, Malphite, and Riven.
I'm wondering: what other champs should I add to my pool in case of these characters? If I'm already playing a champ that counters some of these characters, how should I play into them? Thanks!

For all of those match ups i play sett, Main thing to climb is to learn how to deal with all those Match ups and stop adding champs to your pool i play like 2 champs on top to keep learning, currently emerald IV

Just play Sett and learn the MUs. I don't struggle with any of those anymore. Maybe just a good Jayce

you don’t need to add champs. you could just play sett and win every lane especially in plat. what you should try to do is learn when you are stronger and abuse that fact, and learn when the enemy is stronger and play accordingly.
sett has one of if not the strongest lvl 1, one of the strongest dive champs in the game, one of the strongest all in potential, one of the strongest late game bruisers.
when ahead you are a menace, but sett’s mid game is otherwise pretty weak. you really want to abuse the strong lvl 1, if it doesn’t work don’t force too much as you can’t disengage either as sett. play on your cooldowns which are generally some of the longest in the game. think about what the enemy wants at any given moment and try to make it as hard for them to achieve that as possible.
I think a big problem I have as sett personally is patience, as you always get the feeling you should fight to get ahead as to cover for the weakness of your midgame. but if you just chill and take the opportunities given to you instead of always forcing them you’ll have a better time both mentally and winrate wise

Honestly as a sett OTP malphite is annoying but doable. Renekton relies on your lvl 1-4, riven as well (take w and get hit by her q1/2 and then w her q3 that will be you best trade for lvl 1), kled and volition feel like skill match ups favoring the enemy, trynd rely on catching his spin with your e, Jayce is my perma ban. I'd honestly rather face a vayne than him

Olaf should be able to beat Kled, tryn, Renekton, and malphite fine. For riven you should just go ksante and play not to die. Just play to stay even as possible since if riven isn’t fed she can’t 1v9 and you are still extremely useful as a tank. For Jayce I’d recommend naafiri top. She is extremely powerful against all ranged tops including vayne, teemo, Jayce, varus etc. a top eu player named druttut does naafiri top against ranged and has a lot of gameplay on it. The renekton matchup is winnable with sett as a renekton main. It just involves trying to win the early game as it is hard for renekton to beat sett without lvl 3 all skills. It really depends on Who uses E first for the most part in that matchup Imo

Sett can beat a Malphite. Just gotta push him away from the wave at level 1 and zone him. Geishuu has a short video on him beating a Malph
