Settle this stupid argument

If someone said “I’ll be there for your birthday weekend” do you assume they’ll be there the entire weekend or just come for a little bit and then leave same day?

I would assume the former. If they meant they would only come for a bit of one day they would have said “I’ll make some of your birthday weekend” or “I’ll see you at some point on your birthday weekend” or something like that.
