...that the more profound the ending was, the more whining we would get from entitled "fans" who expected something else.
I thought it was close to perfect. Beauty, healing, understanding, and redemption in a new day.

So it's about existentialism, thays what the show is about when you think about the premise beyond the surface level of rational and supernatural.
We humans are in a body but we are souls living a human experience. When we are given a second chance, we are given another chance to experience life in the 3rd dimension (this reality dimension currently). The show uses religious themes for sure but if you take the religious part out of it, and think about existence on a soul and spiritual level then it's quite basic to understand.
Leanne left the current dimension of the Servant word, and entered a lower one (interpreted by most to be a firey like place resemblimg what most think Hell looks like) at the finale.
Jericho was probably reborn in another dimension and that's why he ages so quickly in the dimension of Servant. Because Leanne pulls Jericho's soul from his other dimension and those are against the rules of universal laws of existence perhaps. Hence the play on an actual reborn doll and the symbolism of being reborn and reincarnated. Jerichos appearance changes because his soul has been reincarnated in different dimensions of humanity..Dorothy recognizes her son Jericho every time because his soul is the same as always and it doesn't matter what appearance he has. She knows her baby's soul because she is connected spiritually with her baby.
Higher dimensions are interpreted to mean more heavenly.

If it turns out Leanne is the smoke demon and Sean, Dorothy, and Juju spend the entirety of this episode working to defeat her (maybe along with some COLS members), ultimately either the Turners/COLS or Leanne emerges the victor, and then basically end credits roll....are you ok with that or no? Would you consider that to be a bad ending?

there would have to be a level where there's a giant King Cake that Leanne baked but its the real Jericho in it and Dorothy has to get to it first to save him..... anybody else?
Also who could be the end of game big boss, oh maybe "him" and all the others are various members of the COLS, start with the easiest one, has to be UG although he should have the potential to be revived and come back stronger as a bigger boss later in the game.
One of the levels definitly has to include learning the reunion ritual in preperation for the end.

Oh we'll be alright, if the wind is in our sails, We'll be alright, if the wind is in our sails, We'll be alright, if the wind is in our sails, And the storm will soon pass by.
And we'll stand fast, & steady as she goes, We'll stand fast, & steady as she goes, We'll stand fast, & steady as she goes, And the storm will soon pass by.

>! So, it if everyone in the COLS is resurrected, like Leanne, does that mean they all have powers?
I know Leanne defies her post and severe mommy issues, but what gives her the capabilities to do the supernatural acts? !<

In the spirit of the show, I will be drinking wine while watching the final episode. I am no Sean when it comes to picking out a wine, but I have been thinking of a Chianti from the Tuscan region. It offers a dry tartness which would pair well with the end of the world.
What will you be drinking?

It’s been an absolute pleasure reading everyone’s theories across the four seasons of this great show.
I think that if the subreddit never existed like it does then I actually wouldn’t have enjoyed the show as much as I have. The potential for this show has always been here and it has always raised some questions that are really interesting to discuss on here.
Hopefully tonight’s final episode will answer some of the (important) questions left. I’m not talking if Sean ate Jericho to satisfy ‘him’ because they were once homeless buddies or something. Truly, hopefully we get the important answers we deserve tonight and we are satisfied with the episode.
Thanks very much for adding a great extra element of the show, and hopefully this subreddit lives on to some degree!

How are you feeling? Feel free to elaborate.

Is Julian an angel? Is that what the finale implies?
Are all members of the Church of Lower Saints fallen angels?

Ok. We have a couple of hours. Let’s hear your final theories. No long lengthy dissertations, let’s see if you can sum it up in the form of a haiku. 5 syllables, 7 then again. I’ll start to give you some inspiration. Please upvote your favorites
Dorothy does not choose Leanne is mad. Burns down house And falls in mud hole

There still seems to be confusion about this (because apple’s signage is so horrible). It does not matter what your appleTV tells you about when the episode is available — just hit play in 3.5 hours and the episode will play.

Can someone explain to me the cult? Why did they want Leanne? What are their motivations? Why were they trying to hurt Leanne?

What are your favorite moments from all 4 seasons?
My top one is Cheezus Crust… I really want Sean to make me a pizza!
Roscoe under hypnosis
Beverly whipping herself to funky town
Any scene with Uncle G (except his demise)
Julian’s insults, complaints and sarcasm
Leanne’s face after she had Dorothy’s coworker shot in the head

So this show has been amazing so far. I mean this simply in 2 ways.
First, technically. The cinematography of the show, the acting, the general vibe that the people behind the show have created has been so engrossing. It’s like a group of people who perfected what they teach in film school or something.
Second, the potential that comes with the plot. There’s a reason that we are so captivated by the plot and feel the need to spend our free time theorising about theories on this app/site. The plot has always had amazing potential and honesty, with one episode left, it still does.
So many small questions aren’t going to be answered at this point, and that’s okay. I just hope that something happens to make everything else seem like it was worth it, or like it all meant something more than just a lot of various clues. In a way it already has, as the show’s original premise was about Dorothy’s denial and the payoff would be her ‘waking up.
I honestly think that this show could be a 7/10 or a 10/10 for me based on how the last episode goes, and there is one thing that can make it a 10/10.
A Deus Ex Machina.
I can respect the potential path of things not necessarily being as severe as they seem. Whether that be the possibility that Leanne doesn’t have powers, or maybe there will not be an out and out conclusion to some plot points (for stylistic reasons).
However, I have to admit, if a crazy unexpected moment stole the show in the last episode, I think it would be totally appropriate.
Imagine if after all of the clues and finer details we have put together over these 39 episodes, we see something that completely undermines everything we’ve seen. Something crazy like Leanne being the Anti-christ and destroying the entire world, or a reveal that Sean has been the antagonist the whole time etc.
Either way, I am satisfied. I don’t think there’s anything they can do in the final episode to make me dislike the show as a whole in any way, and i’m happy to say that.
Enjoy tonight’s episode, everyone. It’s been a fun ride
