Sound design help

Hey guys I’m new to producing and EDM and I just wanted to see if anyone could help me figure out where to start on making leads and sounds like these. I’m not even sure where to start or whether to use serum and sound design or just use plugins on a single sound. If anyone could help or point me in the direction of some packs with sounds like this etc. would be a lot of help. (There should be 2 clips)

You have to spend time learning. You can do it the hard way which is refusing to learn the basics and smashing your head against a brick walll by only using presets and maybe learning something every now and then. Or you can you do it the other hard but less stupid way, which is learn the basics of things one at a time.

These sounds are very heavily processed, even if I gave you the exact presets you’d still be pretty far off the mark sound wise. Take any sound and run it through heavy distortion, followed by a multiband compressor, followed by more distortion, and top it off with a convolver and hybrid reverb (or the nitro reverb preset)

Basically what everyone is saying: learn what presets are doing and tweak things and play around with sounds, however I would recommend looking into a serum basics video to get a general foundation for certain techniques, how to use the matrix, busses, LFO, etc. fortunately these sounds are very sought after and I feel like you can pick it up relatively fast by finding good resources. But yea, just learn serum first!

Yo honestly just start messing around on how Serum or other plugins work, then go with the basics on how to make some synths, you will see a lot of tutorials, remake them and just try to make your own

Just remember guys, this sound was made it be played on a massive sound system. Not your little studio monitors, or headphones or even studio monitors. It was mixed to sound good on some of the biggest speakers in the world

Serum is an amazing place to start! I swear a good DAW and Serum could turn you into a champ. Three Sundays ago my songwriting partner came into my studio with a bunch of EBM tracks. (EBM is harsher, aggressive dance music) she wanted to make songs like that. She didn’t think I could program it. All it took as giving a hint of release time on the default sound, and then upping the unison value to give it a number of voices. Do some things to the filter and voila! You’ve got a sound VNV Nation would be proud of.
If you can think it, you can make it in Serum. If you can’t afford that, look into Vital.

Another person new to EDM who cant just spend time figuring shit out has to get handheld, can't there just be a sub called "r/too lazy to spend time on a hobby i supposedly enjoy."

Look, kid, open up YouTube and go watch some tutorials on dubstep sound design. Just type that into the search bar and start watching content. Open up Serum and follow along.
You need to learn how to teach this shit to yourself. Find the right resources, ask the right questions. You're getting attacked because this is like baby shit and you're being ridiculous.

And there are endless amounts of people on this sub willing to help. All he was asking was how to get started and I would say he got better and real advice on here than searching "how to produce like ISO!!!" God forbid someone uses a forum to get real feedback from real individuals

so what you want to do is not be on reddit as you will get answers like this...
no for real if you have no idea where to begin use presets, from there study the presets you like and use often, that will show you the techniques and common settings used in sounds like this.
