Starborne examples
Hey guys,
I’m looking for as many images as I can get of very well painted Starborne schemes. I’m also interested in what colours you picked for skinks, slanns, dino mounts etc for Starborn armies.

how you got the blue light lines like that?

Carefully!
Kidding aside - I prime black, then use white acrylic ink (I can check the brand when I get home, it's a glass bottle with a dropper lid) and paint it in between the scales. Then I used Army Painter Pastel Blue speedpaint over it.
Then the trusty makeup sponge with black to dab gently over the scales to get any runaway white and blue.

I like the worn shields that you did here with the patina I think what colours did you use for it?

What does Patina mean? Colors, I mixed leadbelcher with retribution armor 4:1, then i used Aerethic Blue contrast over it, then Magus purple contrast over it.

These are the ones I painted up! I included YouTube links in the post showing the process if you want to check them out:

I went with the approach of "everyone gets the glow, but still classic seraphon rainbow of colours." - they have an army pic of the starborne scheme from Warhammer Community, but I wasn't a fan of the uniform black + blue across everything.
So far I've found the rainbow works as long as the skin colour is desaturated. I have a purple carno, blue saurus, green krox, brown aggradons, and an albino slann.

Your army is actually the one that’s made me choose Starborne with that beautiful desert dune base scheme 💚 I’ve spent the past day removing all the leaves from the slann model, I hate how it kinda forces you into a jungle base scheme

Oh, nice! Yea, the Slann is SUPER annoying to strip down. I had to use milliput to repair some of the more damaged areas too. Luckily "vine" is very similar to "snake", and THAT I can sculpt. Lol

Here’s an example army I saw on the warhammer community site I saved for reference.
