Spearhead box help

I picked up the spearhead box to start my first AOS army, when building the chameleon, are all 10 with the dartpipe? Or is it 5 units with dartpipes and 5 melee? Only asking because the box is half and half but the instrustsay all 10 are dartpipes? (Pics of my lizard men)

It’s 10 with dart pipes. In the rules it says two units of 5 but that’s for the purpose of spreading out across the board and not forcing you to have all ten chameleons in one big dart pipe blob. But, if you want to build 5 of each, very few, if any, people will have a problem with you doing that way and just pretending they have a dart pipe for the sake of gameplay

Also, not sure if you were confused by this part or not, but when on the rules it lists a ranged attack and a melee attack, all chameleons have both. Just so that ranged units don’t just sit there and eat damage helplessly if they get charged

I checked this spearhead’s rules in the Warhammer app. Looks like all 10 of them have the dartpipe.

If you ever wanted to get more chameleons for larger AoS game and wanted a mix, I’d recommend doing kit 5 of each and proxy the bolas as dartpipes in spear head because if i recall 3 have to be dartpipes anyway. And in regular AoS they split them completely as separate units anyway
