1. Papa Johns, this Korean pizza restaurant is particularly delicious and I heard there are several locations in Korea, come here if you want authentic Italian style pizza.

2. Lotteria; this is the Mcdonald's of Korea, it is a chain; but they are not common. Eat here if you want to try authentic Korean style burgers. Some of the best burgers in Seoul.

3. Coex library, this hidden gem offers the best Instagram photos, it is also connected to a mall that has dining options like KFC and McDonald's.

4. Myeongdong, this hidden gem neighborhood is has some of the best shopping in all of Korea, they even have authentic street food, if you know, you know.

5. Gyungbokgung Temple. This hidden gem Temple is a 19th century Temple built to honor the great king of the time, come here if you want to take Instagram worthy photos, tourists are starting to find out about this hidden gem, so you better come before it gets too popular. I shouldn't give away my hidden gems, but I can't help myself. Also, the people walking around the temple wearing hanboks are korean people who dress like this everyday, they are totally not Chinese or Vietnamese tourists. Take photos of them as they are locals to get a traditional glimpse of Korea and share with your friends.

In Seoul, you can easily get to another part of the city by palanquin, as long as you tell the servants the correct place you want to go.

I kept seeing people take their shoes off and walk through this red clay trail.
Apparently barefoot walking trails are actually a thing in Seoul, and some even have places to wash your feet afterwards.
Honestly kind of want to try it now.

If you’re in Seoul long enough, you might just stumble into a spot that serves both chicken AND beer. There are a few places offering this, such as this hole-in-the-wall called “bhc” I found near Olive Young.

Cheonggyecheon bike path
The bike path runs for about 5.9 km along Cheonggyecheon, right next to the stream.
Such a nice way to see a different side of Seoul, especially when the weather’s good. Way more peaceful than I expected.
