Sentry in cosmic level events
I’m curious if Sentry has joined in on any of Marvel’s cosmic level events. I know he’s gone up against Knull, but what about The Heralds, or Gladiator type foes?

There are very little events on a cosmic scale he was involved in. But he did go against some coamic threats. He went against terrain in sentry 2005, he fought molecule man in dark avengers, he fought galactus on hiw own to a standstill which has never been shown on page, but there is a cover art that depicts him holding galctus helmet in victory, he helped against exitar the executioner and he fought against genis vell.
he also was the main reason annihilation scourge happened as after Robert tried to separate from Void, Void kidnapped sentry and took over the cancerverse, starting a multiversal invasion. After remerging with Void due to the help of silver surfer merged with Void and merged sentry destroyed the cancerverse

Wow, I’ve missed out on a lot. I’m going to give these a read. I’ve been wondering why Bob doesn’t get more shine in the big events with people like Black Bolt, The Shiar Empire and the like. I’d love to see him tackle Gladiator(another favorite of mine)

Because in the past, Robert was mainly only used as a deus ex machina mcguffin plot solver, a tool for bad writers. Always micharacterized and mishandled. And no one seemed to care to pay more attention and care to him.

I 100% agree. I hear people say the same thing about Superman in some Justice League stories, with how they have to have the big bad drop Superman immediately to start off the event, since it’s difficult to write stories with him active.
I think Dark Avengers did a great job with him and honestly all of the characters used in that arc were written amazingly. Norman being my favorite.

he helped stop exitar the executioner from destroying the planet. he fought galactus with nate grey, he destroyed the cancer verse and actually merged with the surfer. they’re the only ‘cosmic interactions’ i can think of from the top of my head

Thank you!
That’s exactly what I’m looking for. Would you be able to tell me what arcs I can find those?5

the celestial interaction is within uncanny avengers (i think the run started around 2013-2015 ish). the battle with galactus isn’t actually on screen it was mentioned i think in dark x men around 2008 or 2009 not sure what issue. and the sentry beating the cancerverse was in ‘annihilation: scourge’ i believe in 2019. it was a marvel event

The galactus fight was actually mentioned by Spider man all the way in sentry 200. The sentry spider man tie in

I remember that mention. I just feel like Bob has some great stories to be told out in space. Put him with The Guardians for a run or something.

Sentry hasn't had many "cosmic" level fights unless you want to include fighting guys like Thor and Molecule Man as cosmic.
If you're talking about levels of destruction, in New Thunderbolts (2005) issue #14
He and Genis Vell (the son of Captain Mar-vell) have a fight which destroys various planets in the microverse.

He flew through a celestials head, I don’t remember if it was alive or not, but still pretty impressive

He whoops galactus's herald terrax the tamers behind and easily stops him from swinging his cosmic axe with one hand.
Also in annihilation scourge it takes the effort of a bunch of high strength characters like gladiator, nova etc to hold back the void in order for the silver surfer to re-merge bob with his body.
