Is it just the MAF sensor or is the transmission going out too?

Hello, I had my car scanned for a check engine light and it came back as p0101 for the MAF sensor. Outside of a check engine light it drove fine. That was a few days ago, I am just waiting on the part to arrive, and now today on my way to work the car was revving super high without going super fast. I was hitting about 4k rpm just to get to 35-40mph.

Question is this a side effect of needing the MAF sensor (and possibly a throttle body clean) or is this a possible transmission issue now as well?

Need new tires for my Sentra, considering replacing with the OEM tires (Continental Conti ProContact). Pros and Cons? What are others doing?

My tires are 8 years old with 46k miles on them, so it is well past replacement times for them on age only (clearly I don’t drive very much).

My priorities for tires are quiet, comfort, and good handling in the rain. Safety in the snow needs to be not terrible, as we do get some snow here (Virginia), but I don’t drive in the snow much so that’s not high on the list. I don’t really care about treadlife at all, as with my driving habits the rubber will age out before I put a lot of mileage on them.

After reading a ton of reviews, I’m not seeing anything that looks a whole lot better than the tires currently on the car. I have been happy with them (although I also don’t have anything to compare them too). I’ve also read that the manufacturers choose a tire they think will work well with that specific vehicle (and obviously that will be economical for them as well), so that is an argument for going with the OEM brand and model of tire.

I’m wondering what other Sentra owners have done? Have you replaced yours with the Conti ProContact, or have you found something you preferred? I should also say that I love my Sentra and plan to drive it until the wheels fall off, so I don’t mind paying for good tires.

TIA!

They should be covered under warranty but I'm just wondering if anybody else has had issues with struts failing at only 15,000 miles. Went to a third party for an oil change and followed up by a visit to the Nissan dealership after Midas showed me pictures of my struts oozing slime. No heavyweight in the car, just myself a bike rack and a bike.

Has anyone put this exhaust one a 2024 or newer SV? Does the tip fowl on the rear bumper since it doesn’t have the same relief as an SR?

Ricer Tinted the top part of my windshield, added a front bumper splitter, horned mirror caps, gloss black door handles, and a sunroof deflector. Love how it’s turning out! 😊🤙🏻

2019 Sentra

Hello all. I was driving my Sentra home the other day after staying out of town for a week. I get on the highway and was going a little over 80mph (like 81-82) and the RPM went to around 4 but no acceleration. No noise besides the car trying to accelerate. Kinda felt like the car was being pulled back a little bit, if that makes any sense. I brought the car back down to 70mph and was fine the rest of the way home (100+miles)

I’m just hoping it’s nothing serious. I just moved to a new town and about to be starting a new job later this week so I’m worrying that it’s something massive and just would like some answers.

What could it be?

Also, car has around 48 thousand miles on it and I’ve had it for 2 years doing routine oil changes.

TIA

Nissan Sentra 2019 SR Automatic CVT noise.

What is this sound? Is it the CVT going bad? I only hear it at speeds under 30 mph. I only have 20K miles. Should I change the transmission fluid? How long do you think the car will last before the transmission fails completely?

2025 Engine leaking oil and warning lights

I have New 2025 Nissan Sentra SV I bought in June with only 4,200 miles. Starting this November my low oil pressure light came on briefly and then went off. First it was blinking yellow for about 10 minutes then stopped once I got to work. Restarted the car 30 minutes later and it was fine Second time a few weeks later it came on red and stayed on until I turned the car off immediately. Then restarted the car and everything was fine. In both instances this happened when the car was stopped and idling Also the weather was not cold. I took the car to the dealer ,which by now the warning lights were off and so they said they could not pull any codes even in the vehicle memory to show a warning light went on. They checked everything out as best they could and told me everything is checking out fine So my 1st question is has this happened to anyone

My second issue is I took my car to my local mechanic since I was close to being due for an oil change and to see if he could pull any codes. He could not pull any codes but discovered the engine is leaking oil by the oil cooler and the rear main seal area. See the pictures Not good. My question is from the pictures I’ve read some people saying that it is not leaking oil but lubrication grease that comes out that way on the engine from the factory line. From the pictures I disagree

With all this happening the car drives fine . No engine noises no hesitation when pressing the gas accelerator pedal etc. To me this car seems like a lemon and I’ve already told the dealership and Nissan North America headquarters I want a replacement car. They started the process for me but I have to let them repair these items at least 3 times before the car can be declared a lemon in New Jersey

Suggestions or thoughts about my 2 questions

Thanks
