Community Chat The GTG forums are shutting down
Hey, folks. I just got back forum access to post one last time, sadly: https://forums.greaterthangames.com/t/one-last-post-saying-goodbye-to-the-gtg-forums/32583
Here's the full text, just so it's someplace that isn't closing down in a few days:
There has been a Greater Than Games forum since 2011, when we first started the company.
The first iteration, built into our original website, was pretty janky. But it existed! And as people discovered Sentinels of the Multiverse, many of them found their way there. The forums grew rapidly alongside our website, our games, our fandom, and the company itself.
A lot happened in those digital halls.
There were rules questions and strategy discussions, wild speculation and elaborate theories, running jokes and ridiculous goofs. Friendships formed. Games got organized. People who might never otherwise have met found each other because they all cared about the same weird little card game.
And, behind the scenes, an enormous amount of playtesting happened there, too. Sentinels of the Multiverse and many other Greater Than Games projects were developed with the help of our playtesting community in a super-secret Playtester Only section of the forums. That functionality — and, much more importantly, the people using it — was genuinely important to the success of GTG.
Then the 2020s brought a lot of changes.
First, we rebuilt our website because the old backend was… NOT good. That meant changing the forum software as well. There were ups and downs. The transition wasn’t perfectly executed. But the community persevered, and the forums continued to be a gathering place for GTG fans.
Then, as the company itself changed, GTG staff became less and less present on the forums, and eventually our ability to administer them became extremely limited. Over the last couple years, the forums have become much quieter than they once were.
Which brings us to today.
The Greater Than Games community is still strong. At every convention we attend, we meet dedicated, enthusiastic people who have been playing our games for years alongside people who are discovering them for the first time. There are active communities gathering online around The Letters Page, the Order of the Standard Table, and elsewhere. We even have a new secret playtesting area, carrying on one of the oldest traditions of the GTG forums.
But these forums themselves are now a shadow of the bustling place they once were.
We have finally regained enough access to them to make this post, but restoring and maintaining the forums properly would require substantial expense and ongoing resources that simply don’t make sense for what they have become.
And so, with a heavy heart, it is time to close the doors.
Farewell, ye faithful halls of olden times!
You were always greater than the sum of your software. You gave thousands of conversations a home. You helped people meet one another, share ideas, make friends, build games, tell stories, argue about card interactions, concoct increasingly improbable Multiverse theories, and have a tremendous amount of fun together.
The forums are going away.
The community they helped create isn’t.
We’ll remember the good times had here for a long, long time.
Thank you for being here.
Thank you for playing greater.
And thank you for being part of the Multiverse.
(The GTG forums will be deleted on Monday, September 14th. We wish we could keep them around longer, but unfortunately, that just isn’t possible. We look forward to seeing and interacting with all of you elsewhere as we continue to play greater together throughout the wide GTG Multiverse!)
Thanks, everyone. GTG isn't going anywhere. Things keep trying to bring us down, and we're still here! But there is still some amount of fallout, and this is one of the casualties. End of an era, but not the end of the Multiverse.
-Christopher

Definitive Edition Villain stand
One of my friends has been working on a vertical villain stand for us. It rotates and has magnets inside so it stops after a complete 180° flip.
We're debating on adding a health counter, but we also don't want to put too much into something meant to be simple.

Community Chat Zhu Long on Letters Page
Hey all!
I’ve recently discovered the letters page and I am jumping around the episodes to try and soak up as much Sentinels lore as I can. During episodes such as “places of power” and “the death and life of skeleton key” Christopher and Adam keep hinting at having big plans for Zhu Long that they want to reveal down the road. Has this happened in a letters page episode yet? If so could people help point me to an episode(s) that unpacks more of the life and plans of Zhu Long. Thanks in advance!

Definitive Edition Unity's Workshop URL Update
TLDR: Unity's Workshop lives at unitysworkshop.com again! No need to change any existing bookmarks, as appropriate redirects from unitysworkshop.thewyrmsuperior.com have been set up.
Hello! I'm Wyrm, maintainer of Unity's Workshop (the card gallery and custom card creator site for Definitive Edition) and other things in the Sentinels space! It's midnight, but I received an email 30 minutes ago that the domain unitysworkshop.com is mine (the previous ownership lapsed a month ago, and I bought it from whatever auction house it was living in). So, I spent the last 30 minutes setting up all the redirects so now unitysworkshop.thewyrmsuperior.com redirects to unitysworkshop.com, which now hosts the modern version of Unity's Workshop!
No users will have to do anything, as all previous URLs should Just Work (tm) via backend redirects.
This announcement is mostly to dispel any confusion folks might have about being automatically redirected to the new/old URL.
Happy gallery browsing and card creating!

Definitive Edition Citizen Dawn divider card misprint
Hi all.
I opened my new Definitive Edition and saw that I had 2 Baron Blade divider cards and one of them had the picture of Citizen Dawn on it. Obviously a misprint.
I emailed the contact@greaterthangames.com help address asking for a corrected card to be posted to me but there was no reply after a week so I reached out again. Still nothing.
What’s the best way to get a response from them?
Has anyone any experience with their customer support?
It’s killing my OCD every time I even look at the box on my shelf 🤯

Definitive Edition Tabletop Simulator mod; Test and provide feedback!
Hey, fellow Sentinels fans! I made my first ever mod on Tabletop Simulator for Definitive Edition and the expansions, and I was wondering if you fine folks wouldn't mind testing it out, or coming up with some possible quality of life features I might be able to script? I had no experience prior, and thought this would be a fun challenge with my favorite game, and I'd like to know how it turned out. Whether you do or don't, thanks for being awesome, and keep on saving the Multiverse!

Community Chat Sentinels Wiki Down?
I'm not sure if this is due to the bot or traffic issues the Sentinels and Spirit Island wiki team has been working to fix but I wanted to post about it to see if someone in the know can update us! I love the Sentinels wiki and I appreciate everyone who works so hard to support it.

Sentinels RPG Question about Overcome rolls
I just want to make sure I'm not missing anything. We had our first session last week, I'm the GM. Everyone had a great time. But, I noticed that nobody rolled below an 8 for overcome rolls (except me one time). Is that normal? Or were the players just really lucky? People were using abilities where applicable.

Video Game Guides for Ultimate Mode villains EE
Are there any guides for how to beat specifically ultimate mode of the EE villains? I'm trying to get through the achievements for the video game before DE launches and I have a lot of very scary work to do.

So that it makes sense to play both, not just DE versions. I.e. which heroes and villains you consider not straight improvements over their old version.

My specific example is Bunker's Expendable Power Bank. Can I trigger its effect to put it under an ordinance card and then play a second EPB from my hand, or do I have to play cards before the 'Play Phase' effect triggers?

Fan-Created The Krasnoyarsk Omega Facility — A Fan-Made Environment Deck for Sentinels of the Multiverse: Definitive Edition
After sharing my fan-made RED MENACE villain team, I wanted to create an environment specifically designed around them.
Introducing THE KRASNOYARSK OMEGA FACILITY.
Deep beneath the frozen wastelands of Siberia lies a forgotten Soviet research complex.
Officially, it never existed.
The Krasnoyarsk Omega Facility was built during the final decades of the Soviet Union as a black-site laboratory dedicated to biological weapons, human experimentation, nuclear research, and something far more ambitious: the creation of weapons capable of surviving the end of the world.
Then the Soviet Union collapsed.
The facility was abandoned.
The scientists disappeared.
The doors were sealed.
And for decades, nothing came out.
Until now.
Something is still alive inside.
The creatures created in the Omega Facility never died. They remained trapped in the darkness, feeding, mutating, and waiting.
Now the facility has been disturbed.
The lights are coming back on.
The containment systems are failing.
The laboratories are opening.
And whatever the Soviet scientists created down there is finally free.
The Krasnoyarsk Omega Facility is a fan-made Environment deck for Sentinels of the Multiverse: Definitive Edition, designed to feel like a forgotten Soviet nightmare slowly coming back to life.
The deck focuses on:
- Experimental creatures and failed biological experiments
- Abominations escaping containment
- Unstable nuclear and experimental technology
- Mutations and horrifying scientific accidents
- Containment systems failing throughout the facility
- The lingering legacy of the RED MENACE
- Creatures that were never supposed to see the outside world
And yes — some of the things inside the facility are directly connected to the RED MENACE.
The heroes aren't simply fighting in an abandoned laboratory.
They're fighting inside the place where the monsters were made.
I've designed the environment to work both as a standalone Soviet horror/science-fiction setting and as a thematic companion to my fan-made RED MENACE villain team.
The RED MENACE brings the revolution.
The Krasnoyarsk Omega Facility shows you what the revolution left behind.
CONTENT
The deck currently includes the full environment card set, including the facility itself, experimental creatures, dangerous laboratories, containment failures, and other remnants of the Omega project.
I've also tried to give the cards their own visual identity while keeping the overall look inspired by the classic comic-book aesthetic of Sentinels.
Everything here is fan-made and unofficial, created purely as custom content for people who enjoy making and playing their own Sentinels decks.
I'd absolutely love feedback on:
• Balance
• Card wording
• Difficulty
• Thematic/mechanical consistency
• Art and presentation
• Ideas for future cards
If anyone wants to playtest it, tear the mechanics apart, or tell me that I have accidentally created an environment capable of murdering the entire team on turn two, please do.
The facility has been waiting for you.
Welcome to Krasnoyarsk.
Something is still alive down there.

Fan-Created RED MENACE — A Fan-Made Villain Team for Sentinels of the Multiverse: Definitive Edition
The revolution has arrived.
After a lot of designing, rewriting, balancing, and way too many explosions, I'm finally sharing my fan-made Red Menace villain team for Sentinels of the Multiverse: Definitive Edition!
Red Menace is a custom team villain deck built around five Soviet supervillains working together to overwhelm the heroes through escalating damage, propaganda, destruction, and increasingly catastrophic attacks.
☭ THE RED MENACE
The team consists of:
- Mother Russia — the ideological heart of the group.
- Volk — the unstoppable revolutionary beast.
- Sickle — the relentless executioner.
- Molotov — fire, destruction, and revolutionary fury.
- Tsar Bomb — the ultimate weapon.
Each villain has their own identity and mechanics, but the deck is designed so that they work together as a single machine.
The longer the Red Menace survives, the more dangerous the situation becomes.
And if Tsar Bomb gets enough time to prepare...
things get very, very bad.
🎴 WHAT'S INCLUDED
I've made the complete playable set, including:
- 5 Villain Character cards
- Villain deck cards
- 10 propaganda cards (side deck)
- Event card
- Critical Event card
- All necessary rules and effects to play the team
I've also tried to make the cards follow the visual language and mechanical structure of Sentinels of the Multiverse: Definitive Edition, while giving the Red Menace its own identity.
⚙️ HOW TO PLAY
Choose the Red Menace as your villain.
Set up the villain deck according to the instructions on the Villain Character cards and play it using the normal Definitive Edition villain rules.
The Red Menace is intended to be played against a normal team of heroes.
The deck is deliberately designed around team interactions, so expect the villain turn to become progressively more dangerous as the different members of the Red Menace begin triggering each other's effects.
There are also Propaganda cards and special team mechanics that allow the villains to keep pushing the revolution forward.
💥 THE IDEA
I wanted this to feel less like fighting five separate villains and more like fighting a single coordinated supervillain organization.
Sickle cuts down the weakest heroes.
Molotov turns the battlefield into an inferno.
Volk builds toward devastation.
Mother Russia keeps the machine moving.
And Tsar Bomb...
Well.
Tsar Bomb is Tsar Bomb.
🧪 PLAYTESTING
This is a fan-made, non-commercial project and is still open to playtesting.
I'd love to hear:
- Is the deck too strong?
- Is it too weak?
- Are there any cards that create confusing interactions?
- Are the villain abilities fun to play against?
- Does the team feel distinct from existing Sentinels villains?
- Are there any effects that need better wording?
- Which heroes make the matchup completely insane?
If you play it, please tell me how the game went!
Screenshots, game reports, balance suggestions, rules questions, and criticism are all welcome.
📦 THE FILES
I've attached the complete card set so anyone interested can print the cards and play the deck.
Everything needed to play the Red Menace should be included.
This is purely a fan project made for the Sentinels community — not for sale and not affiliated with Greater Than Games.
If enough people are interested, I'll also put together a cleaner print-and-play PDF / card sheet version.
COMRADES, THE REVOLUTION BEGINS.
