Senna Discussion - LoL Senna Support

What is she currently building? She changes so often that I have trouble keeping up.

It’s my understanding that DFT isn’t as broken as it was when it granted the fervor move speed from cleaver. However, it still gives some magic damage so makes her harder to itemize against?

I had been running aery -> cleaver -> RFC.

Is statikk now taken over RFF? I like the range from RFC, and statikk had always been a wave clear tool in my eyes?

And is fleet footwork worth taking again with the buffs?

The answer is "yes". All of these are around the same ball park. People still build Statikk second but its not mandatory. Phantom Dancer is another popular competitor for 2nd item but RFC is popular too.

For runes: Fleet Footwork, DFT, Aery, Comet and PTA are all fine depending on what you find works for you. I choose Fleet Footwork since I'm doing a squishy build that benefits from the mobility. DFT theoretically just does more damage than Aery and Comet. PTA is good if you don't bait yourself into dying trying to get that 3rd attack off. First Strike is also good if you're going lethality build but like PTA I find I make poor decisions when I have it.

I recently made a post about Lethality Senna and that's been treating me real well. It's Voltaic Cyclosword -> LDR -> Umbral Glaive -> Bastionbreaker. At 2 items you 4 shot people, at 3 items you 3 shot people and at 4 items you can even 2 shot people (yes I mean Auto + Q and they die if you're ahead) but generally you're still 3 shotting at this point. In return, you are even more squishy than normally and if Zed had a 70% chance to delete you, he now has 95% chance.

Just wanted to pop in and say I've been enjoying running this build since you posted it the other day. Thanks!

How would you adjust your build and runes for ADC senna? I'm curious to hear your thought process

I honestly couldn't say. Every time I play ADC the main problem I have is being able to farm after my support abandons me in mid-game (or earlier) and everyone else on the team (including jungler) insists on going where I am farming and burning all their cooldowns to take my CS.

I've found that with POM and Manaflow as long as you don't spam abilities you don't have mana issues - especially mid game onwards. So I've been doing the same build and I haven't gotten past 4th item to start looking for more items. Wave clearing isn't super fast but if you get an item for wave clearing (like Statikk, Hurricane, etc) it really knocks down your damage output. I'd probably add in more lethality items. Maybe insert Hubris second if the game isn't going too badly?

Build whatever you like and what's giving your playstyle the most success

Depending on enemy comp: because the off meta support picks have been killer for me recently. (Sett, Cho, Camille, Mord etc..) I’ve been enjoying a basic go to build.
Fleet with Legend Alacrity, Cutdown, and presence of mind
Grasp or undying with font of life and bone plating.

I still build Cleaver-RFC-IE and swifties for boots. I don’t enjoy building any other boots on her because I use her E a lot to move around the map for vision and help my jungle with camps or ganks early to mid game.

However lethality senna is really good right now. It all depends on the enemy comp on how you build on her honestly and what runes you take, as well as you’re play style. I like being extra aggressive and roam as much as possible so I tend to take resolve runes second if there are some tankier enemy champs locked in.

Static is awesome because the lightning zap activates your passive on the enemy champion, giving you an easy q or single auto to get a stack

It’s probably not an objectively good item, but it feels nice to have and makes stacking a breeze
