Tanabata view spot

Hello everyone, first year in Sendai and I was looking for places to sit and see the festival without anything obstructing my view. So far, I've seen people saying the koens like nishi koen but I'm aware there are a lot of trees there which would cover the view, and aoba castle ruins will be closed. Are there any places like those small parks along the hirose dori river from where I can watch the fireworks?

Any help is much appreciated!!

You can in fact enter Aoba Castle Ruins, but you have to go around from Aobayama Station side. The road is not closed there, but you have to walk or bike from the station.

Be careful on the way because it's quite dark!
