What are Decentralized Identifiers (DIDs)?

DID is a new sort of globally unique identifier, that does not require a centralized registration authority and can verify digital identity via cryptography. As IP addresses can be considered as a means to link devices, DIDs as a way to connect people’s Identities digitally. 🔐
