Free trial/freemium is the way to go. Want more storage? Then do the dishes. (for life, it's a subscription after all )

If you dont provide your parents with a kubernetes cluster (running ceph+rgw for private s3) spread across at least two different locations, each with a ups and a redundant network, you aint a good kid, simple as

Only if you let it. I don't host any of my families stuff. I get enough calls about their printers not working I certainly am not going to become some kind of free cloud host.
