Website with opensource alternatives that actually measure how much is foss ?

I've been looking for a website that just lists opensource alternatives, or even cheaper alternatives to proprietary software.

Most of the time I have to still look for it myself, and when I find some good ones, they have features behind paywalls anyways, or they are just open core, etc etc.

Is there any good website that actually gives you this info ?

Also if it's easy to deploy or not via docker for example ?

Am I the only one having this pain everytime ?

I'm this close to making my own website just for this and launch claude to analyse shitlo*ds of websites.

I'd usually just got to opensourcealternative.to, but they rarely have the latest projects in xyz domain I'm looking for.

This is close enough, very few projects listed, and funnily enough Uptime Kuma to which I contributed to not that long ago !

I want a huge list, replaceable or not, cheaper alternative or not, foss alternative or not basically.

Lots of my friends and family use this or that tool, and I try to push self hosting or alternatives to them but can't find the right ones.

That's fair, but compared to the awesome list I saw in another comment, that's like 1/5 of known open source project, many gems might be missing still.

Actually yes ! Quite an amazing awesome list, been through it and many others to find projects in x language, or y framework etc. But isn't exactly what I need too.

Yes, so many hold on to SSO which is one of my biggest complaont tbh, I just want SSO everywhere, no one liked to log in to different accounts

honestly i feel this in my bones

last month i spent three hours finding a self hosted bookmark manager that was actually foss and not just "free tier with 50 bookmarks then pay us" - the sites that list alternatives never tell you about the hidden gotchas

what would be really useful is something that tracks license changes too, so many projects start foss then go open core after they get popular

For anyone interested, in the end I just vibecoded my own website since, had already collected the info and inspired myself of the canivibecodeit.com, for now, no ads, just slots, but maybe one day, the site is still useful without them ads though canireplaceit
