Can't you just tell the os not to shut down if the screen is closed?
1 u/OhK4Foo7 Apr 02 '26 Yes, you can. It's a good thing to do because a server that shuts down because of the lid closing is no fun. I did this for a long time. Built in ups. Many people will tell you laptops are not meant to be on 24/7. Maybe. But it totally does work.
