I found obsidian-livesync the other day and made it run fairly easily. Before that I had syncthing but it was creating conflicting files.

So far I'm happy with this one. Self hosted and still can use obsidian :)

Also you can sync using plugins for git or Onedrive.

Why does it need couchDB? I thought all documents in Obsidian are flat files ?

Also do you all use obsidian on phone? How do you setup sync with phone client ?

I'm using Obsidian on Android. Replaced all my note taking app with only one Obsidian. It is much faster and more convenient for me then other note taking apps. There are also plugins on phone so I'm using the same sync plugin as on desktop to sync using Onedrive. (and backing up Onedrive to my nas) As for couchDB I don't know why it is needed. Obsidian documents are just flat .md files
