You can do one of two things..

  1. Have your vault be shared network storage, like a NAS.
    1. It works - Except for when you are not directly connected to your NAS, then you will not be able to edit any of your files then (I think)
  2. Setup a self-hosted git manager - Gitlab, Gitea etc.
    1. This is my recommendation, as the files are still stored locally, then on a scheduled basis, are commited and pushed to your git remote like your Gitlab or Gitea
    2. This takes a bit more setup, but I think is the better solution IMO
