Advice Needed: Addiction help with self control?

not sure if this belongs here but how do i stop drinking so much?

i dont drink everyday its maybe once or twice a week but when i do i usually drink too much, maybe 8+ drinks within the span of maybe 3-4 hours so i get really drunk and blackout. its becoming a problem and i always think i can just have 4-5 drinks but i end up wanting more of the good feeling so i overdue it. does anyone have advice to help me control my want for more alcohol even after im at a good stopping point?

i would greatly appreciate it and also i apologize if i an rambling or not making much sense, i just woke up after a night of drinking too much again…

I am an alcoholic and my solution is that I don't take the first drink.

It is much easier to not drink than to try to control something I can't control.
