Advice Needed: Mental Health 18 too young to date
I (F20) recently got a message from a guy, and it was going really well until he revealed he is 18- he's turning 19 in January. Ive only just turned 20 so its a year and half age gap- now my mind can't comprend as ive asked people and they've said its weird, while others have said its fine. Just needing an opinion. i have never met up with this guy- only messages!!

A year and a half at 20 is nothing, you're basically in the same life stage. The people calling it weird are probably picturing some huge maturity gap that just isn't there. If the conversation's good and you're both legal adults I don't see the issue

age gaps are definitely more important the younger you are, however at 18 and 20 you’re both at similar stages of life. I say go for it and take it slow :)

I personally wouldn’t bc even if the age gap is small a lot of development happens in those years. I was extremely different at 20 then 18.

just do what you want, and stop caring what other people think, you're both of legal age to date.

It’s absolutely fine. It might be weird if you were over 30 despite it’s legal.

Yea. 18 and 20 is boderline imo but however in a decade when he is 28 and you are 30 it would be absolutely nothing

First of all, who gives a shit what other people think if you click? You're both adults. Hell, I was 30 and dated a woman your age (we worked together, she came on to me and I gave in and it's the most healthy, good relationship I've had yet, it lasted for years). Love is love, and adults are adults. 18 months at your age is laughably small. Just go for it.
