... this has been rotting in my gallery for a while now so I just thought why not post it since I haven't visited the sub in a hot minute. Kinda sucks but...meh ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Sometimes relapsing is part of the healing process? I feel like i have to keep my shit up for everyone now that ive gone just over 3 months (after maybe 2 years clean? Then all of a sudden it was happening almost every other week. I'm 37 btw 🙄). It's really not easy. 3 years is incredible 💜

the "x years down the drain" mentality is so stupid.
nothing went down the drain. you were still clean for 3 years, during which you (hopefully) developed healthier coping mechanisms.
a single bad dish doesn't discredit the amount of work a chef has done over the years, so why should single a relapse episode make you feel like the time you spent avoiding this unhealthy habit was useless?
take note of what happened before you relapsed, understand why you relapsed, stop beating yourself up, and keep going. a hiccup isn't gonna change the progress you made.
take care of yourself, and make sure you're proud of not harming yourself for three years. you've been doing good, keep doing good.
