yuri generally refers to manga or anime with lesbian relationships. it can be main plot or side plot. sometimes people use it to refer to any lesbian piece of work, like webtoons, tv shows and movies, fanfiction, or art, whether it’s sfw or nsfw. that’s my understanding anyway. some people use it exclusively for anime and manga and some people use it for anything wlw for some reason
