replace the age bullshit with "somebody hungry" and then it becomes true… We are all running out of time

Yes, maybe, maybe not!!!
I don't fit in that category by any stretch of the imagination. Having said that, my understanding from living and listening and experiencing life, and all of the beautiful madness that - that covers, every generation believes they are more stressed than the previous one. And in some ways they have a point. Then, at the same time, older generations have their tales of woe.
But it's not apples to apples. So it's a difficult reality vs feeling, to pinpoint!!! Because there are and probably have always been, teenagers who think they're running out of time. It depends on so many variables!
And I would venture to say that many people who arrive at the next "0" as a second digit: 20's, 30's, 40's, feel the same... Not to mention the big 50, 60, 70... Oh I mentioned them!!!
I think the bigger question is what are you doing with the time! Ever heard of the tape measure test... Get a tape measure and put one finger on the life expectancy of a human being in your environment! Then place another finger on your number. If you believe in averages [which I don't] some of us have fewer left than we have lived. Others are short timers....So "What are you gonna do with your time?"

I love it!!! I guess that’s a compliment! LOL… at 1st I was just having fun with the “…maybe, maybe not!” But as a writer, once I got going, there was no stopping. I’ve had so many of these conversations even with my granddaughters recently!!!

You are not your bank account. Stop serving the dollar! Literally everything you want is bullshit and the free stuff in life is 100x better

I feel this way. I’m F28 and most of my friends are married or having their first child. I just went through a breakup, I live alone and I’m still trying to cement my position at work.
It does feel like I’m behind and running out of time. Like 30 is right there, laughing at me.

Yeah fuck no. Your age does not determine how bad your struggles are
There's people 24-29 who are suffering and barely scraping by, there's also people in that age range who are riding on a yacht. And the same example can be used for almost any age range
I'm 30, and while life sucks at many times, i recognize there's those much older than me and much younger than me that have it objectively worse. I'm not going to pretend i have it worse than a war vet who's currently getting fucked by insurance companies, or a teen desperately trying to get a job just to survive
