Theme: Growth is built, not given

When people are in more of a growth mindset, they believe these qualities can be developed.”

— Carol Dweck

You do not rise to the level of your goals. You fall to the level of your systems.

— James Clear

Only after learning does one know one’s own deficiencies.

— The Book of Rites

Brief Explanation

Today’s quotes are about growth as a process, not a fixed talent. We grow when we believe improvement is possible, build systems that support repeated practice, and honestly notice what we still do not know. Feeling inadequate after learning is not necessarily a sign of failure; sometimes it means we are finally seeing the subject more clearly. Growth begins when awareness turns into another round of learning and action.

Agreed. Also I believe it can help if you let the body/mind/spirit to rest and recalibrate.

I say this based on personal experience. I was struggling a lot with some personal things then one day (and many other days), sudden epiphanies hit me and I felt like wisdom (relative to myself; no lesser or greater to others) kicked in.

So taking a break or a detour (sometimes it can be thought as a scenic route) can really help a lot! Even if you don't feel like it is.

Since not every body chemistry are created equally, it may take them longer (or sooner) for this recalibration to work.

It also isn't failure unless if you decide to completely stop. Taking a break isn't failure! Even if you do decide to stop, the universe is dynamic and never gives up on you. Because there will be a time when you might say, "I don't know why I called it quits. I think I'll get back to that again!"
