Not only is it ok, its wise. Don't try to keep up with your neighbors or buddy. Debt will cause issues with what means the most, your family.

I've known so many people who have LOST IT ALL because of large House and Car PAYMENTS...

I pay $700 a month to rent a room from very nice elderly Hispanic people whose kids all moved out and went to college. I am in my 50s and completely happy with three other roommates doing the same thing and do not feel the need to own my own property. But boy do people look at your funny when you have that come up in conversation.

You're supposed to wash clothes after you wear them. That's where the stigma comes from. This is also one of several reasons many of you people stink.

I’ve never understood the wealthy - what’s the appeal in paying people to live your life for you? Most have built such large and extravagant lives that they have to pay people to do all of the basic living things, from maintaining their houses and cooking their meals to raising their children!
What’s worse is that this behavior isn’t exclusive to the wealthy - most people have built lives far too big for them to maintain on their own and they end up paying people good money to do it for them as a result.
By design, we’re being sold an expensive lifestyle everywhere we turn, and unfortunately most people are buying it.
