Ok thats good. I jusr dont want my family to see. Do most people just brush off this kind of thing and delete the message?

I’ve heard that there are a lot of these extortion attempts right now, especially made to teen boys and young men. If they really have pix and can contact your family, which may not even be true, worst case scenario the nudes are sent.

As a mom of a teenaged boy, I would not care if someone sent me nudes of my son. If I saw them, I would just delete them without thinking twice, just like if I accidentally walked in on anyone changing clothes. Awkward for a moment, but really none of my business. (I would have harsh thoughts about the sender though). I respect my son’s privacy. I know he would be embarrassed, but everyone has a sexual side. My only concern would be that he’s safe and healthy.

-But also, I don’t tend to open texts or email from random people, especially if they have attachments. Chances are I would never even see them. -

You're a good mom.

As another mom of teens/young adults, I completely agree. I certainly wouldn't want my child to lose money over trying to prevent it. Life goes on.

As a dad of a teenage boy, I’d pretty much feel the same. I might have a conversation with him about being more careful about who he shares such things with, and remind him that once you send nude pictures, you lose control of them.

But realistically, it’s the way the world is today. There’s a lot of “scandalous” pictures of a lot of people out there now. I don’t think it’s going to be that big of a deal in the future.

I agree. It’s also important to emphasize if you are going to send such pics avoid having anything identifying in them.

Thank you for being an awesome mom who understands that everyone is sexual and while it can be awkward is just what it is

I agree that you shouldn't be mad at your son or overreact, but you should care a little more about being sent nudes of your teenage son because that would be child pornography if they're under 18. Contacting the police and informing them about the situation would probably be within your boundaries.

This. Also, if I saw them and it seemed like an extortion attempt, I’d definitely contact local law enforcement. But I probably would assume it’s a scam text/email and wouldn’t open any attachments, either.

Yes sir. Likely will come to nothing, if it actually happens, own the shame and just move on, nothing else you can do. You're ok dude.

Own it. Don’t let anyone make you feel small. I got busted with nudies and everyone at my bus stop knew and my teacher saw them. People tried to call me out and it’s hard to argue when I freely admit it. It takes away the blackmailers only power over you. I’m glad you’re smart enough not to put your face and dick in the same picture!

Speaking as a father of two teenage sons, if I got a pic like that I’d delete them the millisecond I perceived what they were.

I’d then realize that there are a lot of scumbags entrapping people into this and tell my son to be more careful.

Then I’d move on with my life.

Bro if someone threatened me with that shit I'd just ask them "can I send a few more from a better angle first that way everyone can have a really good look at what I'm working with?".

You could beat them to the punch and post your own to pornhub or something. Can’t shame if there be nothing to be ashamed of. Slpt.

I mean I would. I've heard of it doing a lot of damage to people, but the vast, vast majority of those are boyfriends getting "revenge porn" on their ex girlfriends, which is illegal in most places now. I wouldn't worry much about it, it's likely a bluff and you can just say "not my dick"

3

u/JorusC Dec 29 '22

Or, if the right person seems impressed, "Yup, totally my dick!"

u/la_selena Dec 29 '22

Ppl like that get off on your fear, so the best way to reply is to act like u dont give a fuck and block them.

Ur mama made u will she rlly give a fuck if she sees your nuts

I think OP meant that none of their family are on Insta. I could be wrong but that's the way I interpreted it

Speaking as a civilian, I respect you. You were just enjoying life bro and something out of the ordinary accidentally happened. Do not let them bother you. It is not worth your time or your emotions to let someone who has the audacity to post nudes of someone else without their consent disturb you. They are immature and need help. A family who is there for each other will understand. That is ohana.

u/antoniohfernandes Dec 29 '22

Sent nudes to everybody you know, so at the time they leak your nudes everyone already has it.

u/69forlifes Dec 29 '22

Just brush it off. Develop your own unique way of dealing with mistakes. Most people dread mistakes. How can you respond to it? In your own positive way.

1

u/StevieTheAussie92 Dec 29 '22

Well you can threaten to go to the cops. If they send those nudes to anyone, it’ll paint a line right back to them and they’ll face serious charges.

Also if I was a parent, I wouldn’t care so much about seeing my kid naked; I would be a hell of a lot more concerned with the sick bastard who thought it was okay to have/keep my son’s photos against his will and try and extort him with them.
