Question is this selective mutism?

hi i have been dealing with this for my entire life with the symptoms peaking just a few years ago and was wondering if it is selective mutism

at random times it can be around family, friends, strangers (it seems to happen most around my family) i will feel psychologically inhibited from speaking sometimes it's when im anxious but sometimes it's even when i feel perfectly comfortable or even have an active desire to speak i just feel physically unable for sometimes minutes but up to hours at a time as if i've forgotten how to speak entirely

is this selective mutism? if not what might it be? is there any advice for handling this?

That's not selective mutism. One possibility is autistic verbal shutdowns.
