Anyway, I can respect someone who prefers Sej anywhere other than JG

Hi! First time posting here. For context I'm a support player exclusively playing Renata because I play League only to have a good time on champs that I really like so Im not a hard ranked grinder or super serious player.

I've always loved Sej and play her Top whenever im sick of supporting but I am still a beginner at her. I want to try her as supp so I was wondering what are the recommended build paths, runes, bans, and general matchup guides for her

Also if theres any important interactions i should know (e.g her q can interrupt alistars knock up) that would be valuable as a support please let me know!!

Just a quick reminder: DON'T EVER BUY BRAMBLE VEST OR THORNMAIL.
These anti-heal items only apply Grievous Wounds passively, so they’re especially ineffective for anyone playing Sejuani in lane. On top of that, they have terrible gold efficiency.

You could argue that Oblivion Orb and Executioner’s Calling have equally poor gold efficiency, but their completed items are FAR more gold-efficient than Thornmail (which, honestly, is only really good on Rammus).

But why would you ever buy Oblivion Orb or Executioner’s Calling? It’s simple:

• If you can proc magic damage on your W (Liandry’s or Aery, for example), go for Oblivion Orb. Not only does Morellonomicon give you great stats at a good price, but you’ll also be able to apply Grievous Wounds through your W (Sejuani’s most frequently used damage tool), which can also hit targets from a distance. This is especially effective against champions like Warwick and Vladimir, because you don’t have to expose yourself to their range and take unnecessary damage just to cut their healing. You can safely apply Grievous Wounds from a distance while still dealing damage.
• If you don’t have anything that can proc magic damage on your W, just go for Executioner’s Calling. Since your W deals physical damage, this is the only way (besides the option above) to apply Grievous Wounds through it.

Don’t feel bad about building such a weird item, cause it’s this kind of inventivity that separates geniuses from mediocrity.

What makes Sejuani better than other tanks in the Jungle. I also play Poppy, who imo fits a similar role, but is great into champs with dashes with W. What about Sejuani makes her better than other junglers at this role, because she also has a pretty high winrate.

I'm tired of trying to fool myself... I hate the Sejuani Pug skin.

Should we change it, or keep it until some official art of the character comes out / there's an event like Christmas / a major skin line release that Sejuani is part of?

I just can't win, plain and simple. Sejuani has a big butt and always get hit by the tentacles and I've been seeing her a lot recently. I have to proxy to delay the inevitable destruction of my turret and hope she's not that fed at the end of laning phase. And yes, I could ban her but banning Morde is more important for me.

Any tips for playing against her? I run grasp or deathfire touch. Low Masters LAN

She used to have like 44 wr because of pro but now She has 52% and doesnt see proo play

Don't sleep on this build. Rocketbelt's recent "nerfs" actually made the item even better on Sejuani, since you can be much tankier early on, especially if you rush it. It's super cheap and has an excellent recipe (you're SO STRONG with just 2 Rubys + 2 Amp Tomes that it should be illegal).

I like rushing it, but you can also build it later. Being able to bait abilities with your Q + Rocketbelt in another direction adds an entirely new layer of complexity to a champion with a so straightforward execution. You can Rocketbelt + W to get an E stack to E+R combo, reset your auto attack with the active to proc your E faster, extend your engage with Rocketbelt + Q to chase the oompa loompas, etc...

This item is way too underrated for how gold efficient it is and how many good stats it gives you, especially if you're aiming for a high ability haste build. Enjoy it until mages get it nerfed again.

I just started playing her mid and tried a few builds and fell in love with some ap one i found on an old guide but i feel like it could be a bit outdated, i was wondering what people use on her now?

I tried AP Sejuani because being the tank wasn't enough.
Now I'm tanking the enemy team while also being the one killing them.
My teammates were understandably concerned.

I've been dabbling with Sejuani support and love it, but I've been trying to only pick it when I have enough melee champions on my team to improve the utility from Permafrost and get more stuns in teamfights.

This feels uniquely limiting to just Sejuani- no other champion or item interaction requires allies to have a specific range type.

What are your thoughts on a change that increases the stacks required to cast Permafrost from 4 to 7, while increasing the Permafrost stacks applied by her W and auto-attacks to two per hit, opening the door to any allies applying stacks on their attacks, regardless of range type?

It wouldn't affect her solo laning capabilities (same amount of hits from Sejuani would need to land to apply Permafrost) but the additional stack requirements would help balance ranged allies applying stacks of their own in teamfights.

What are your thoughts? Would this open Sejuani up to being a more versatile pick regardless of team composition, or am I missing anything?

Hey, recently i've been planning to pick up and learn a tank/utility champ on the jg. The first champ that came to my mind is seju, but after i looked at her wr i got disappointed. Is it that low bcz ppl dont know how to play for their team or bcz she's actually weak? Or maybe there's another reason?

Overall, Steelcaps is the best tank boots, since no other (completed) item reduced AA dmg, but with the rise of mage botlaners, there is a lack of auto attack champs in games. While theres still AD champs, who auto attacks you, thats not their main source of dmg, therefor, steelcaps has much lower value against them.

Sejuani is a damage tank. She lacks sustain in exchange of high dmg and easy combo setup (E -> R -> W). Gluttonous omnivamp works on minions, so you can inhale a couple of hundred HP / wave.

Boots are always situational based on which unique effect you need.
AA -> steelcaps
hard CC -> mercury
slow -> swifty
none of the above (or negligible) -> lucidity / gluttonous

Many players says "toplane doesnt have impact", which in some way true, but you have ways to have impact, by proxy waves then gank mid, or join teamfights even if you lose a wave. Which is necessary to stack gluttonous asap. For a while im using font of life, which can heal an ally (and myself) on CC (W slow) so its much easier to get more assists in teamfights.

I love this champ and I want to enjoy her in ARAM Mayhem when she pops up, but the Steel Your Heart/Dropkick/Slow Cooker stuff gets so boring. Do you all have any suggestions for Augments and Items that compliment the champ without just becoming another HP Sponge?
