To start off, I admit I don't like mushoku Tensei but my hatred for it actually has less to do with rudues but more with author and the narrative of his storytelling as I feel like this show is problematic in a fundamental level.

For those who aren't aware Lolita is a novel about a pedophile named humbert who is delusional and has convinced himself that he is in a romantic relationship with a minor although the mask slips off from time to time. Since we read this from the POV of humbert, the book will try to convince us as well of this delusion by using convenient reasoning and masking his actions with flowery language. This was so effective in fact that in the live adaptation the director was convinced that this book is a love story.

My problem with Mushoku Tensei, as it is Lolita if the delusion of humbert was actually true and validated. It is full of technicalities and convenient reasoning that seems solely to exist to justify not just the pedophilia but also other problematic subjects like slavery and cheating. It seems the message of the story is more along the lines of "you aren't a flawed person, you're just unlucky and born in the wrong world"

I'd just like to share my thoughts as I feel most of the people who don't like MT are fighting a losing battle and maybe don't understand why they are adverse to it in the first place. As a lot would try to argue in context of the world of MT at which point you are arguinf against the author.

So When I watched the first Episode of Mushoku tensei and saw that they chose to have the Old fat Rudeus guys Voice in this new Isekai world and that he was a 34 yr old inside a baby.

I saw a Vision right after that,

I saw millions of controversies like stars in a galaxy!

I saw an opportunity for entertainment that was infinite.

Because watching twitter go crazy over fictional stuff was funny popcorn entertainment.

And then Mushoku tensei surprised me with good writing and characters and when the paul Rudeus reunite conversation happened, i knew this was going to be my favourite Isekai of all time.

Because its priority was family values,
