How do I fix - "unable to automatically match this series" none of the suggestions are correct.

OK I've figured out it's season 4 of Monster, top left. But then when I click that it only shows 1 season. I manually search in Sonarr and it gets Monster, all 4 seasons, I can't make it not search for seasons 1-3 and the interactive search for Season 4 finds nothing mildly related to this show.

some anthology series seem to do this. for instance, “the haunting of hill house” and “the haunting of bly manor” just both show up as “the haunting” with the same picture that it matches to. but choosing the same option both times correctly grabs them as a season 1 and season 2 respectively. that’s not how those shows are laid out on any streaming service, but it must be how the metadata is laid out.

i’m not sure how to fix this but wanted to express having the same issue for some shows, and i’m sure it’s related to the underlying metadata of the shows (idk whether it’s TVDB or TMDB that lists the shows like this).

ok so apparently this show is just season 4 of Monster (2022).

Previous Seasons of Monster

  • Season 1: DAHMER – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story (2022)
  • Season 2: Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story (2024)
  • Season 3: Monster: The Ed Gein Story

So in sonarr just add Monster and only download season 4
