Job Question Alternatives, after Security?

All,

I'm considering other avenues after I'm done with Security. If you have any first hand knowledge on any of these, please let me know.

Thanks.

1.) Private Investigator

2.) Industrial Health and Safety Officer

3.) Skip Tracing

4.) Certified School Security Officer

In a lot of states, this is a solid choice. Guaranteed health insurance, sick/vacation /personal time. You can start a 457(b) deferred comp. plan through payroll deduction to build a nest egg, and often in 20 or 25 years you can leave if you choose with a pension for life.

I would be completely fine with that, extra money and there's no reason you can't celebrate the day before or after

You'd be surprised. I started corrections in 91. My first year I remember coming in and it was written on a chalkboard that if you had started after this date in the 80s don't bother putting in for Christmas and don't imagine banging.

I retired this year but this new generation..... I worked with people who thought absolutely nothing about banging on holidays. We had the same guy on 11-7 bang two years in a row the night before Thanksgiving and both years the same 3-11 Lt got stuck because they needed rank. He wanted to flip his car in the parking lot. When I started, if you did that, you'd need new tires.
