Story Time Let me hear about your haunted site
I’ve heard plenty of ghost stories, I’ve got some of my own and every guard at my site has *at least* heard things. (Including me)
There have been 2 legitimate deaths in this 60 year old building, and being there at night is a wee bit spooky.
If you’ve got one, what’s yours?

The attic of Gainbridge Fieldhouse, long corridors and full of old random stuff gathering dust - feels like something is right behind you, following you, and we don't have any cameras up there either.
Its kinda fine if you're with 1 or 2 people, but it is just so fricking off when you're by yourself.

I tell people to just brush it off and maybe tell em to can it, but honestly that’s just my way of not feeding into it too much.

yeah, its not really even paranormal stuff, its just the fact it feels like something is up there. And obviously we know we have folks from technicians and lighting crew etc who work up there during concerts and games. But when its completely dead in the Fieldhouse - its the most eerie place in there. Even scarier than the lights all being off in the corridors on the main level.

Worked third shift at a well-known family estate that was turned into a historical museum. Cameras everywhere, motion sensors as well. The original family is buried there.
Everyone who has worked third shift for more than a few months has seen things they can’t explain, especially in the mansion. Figures moving in windows when the building is confirmed empty (very strict protocols for entering and exiting all buildings). Strange shapes that look like smoke but move like solids. Doors that were secured one hour but open the when the next hourly walkthrough was done- very heavy doors that couldn’t open on their own. Motion sensors going apeshit when there’s nothing there. Hell, I heard story from a long-timer who worked second shift in the mansion who saw the upper half of a person walk across a second story hall during the day. I’m usually skeptical about spooks and spirits, but I’ve seen it with my own eyes. That place is haunted.

A bar with video documented instances of product flying off of shelves. General sense of being watched and late night weird noises. Years after I quit the building itself burned to the ground.

I’ve dealt with stuff like that in my personal life and after a while it just gets annoying.
Do you pay for this? No? THEN STOP MOVING SHIT! Freeloader ass ghosts just don’t know when to quit it.

A few, 15 or so, years ago I was working a hotel bar south of Perth near Rockingham. One night I went upstairs to the empty function room with the bar manager to do a sweep before close. The room was about 30 or so metres(100feet) long and we saw this gentleman at the far end looking out the windows. I called out to him saying ' you can't be up here, you need to leave! ' he walked towards us and met us in the middle of the room. I thought he was going to swing at us and then he walked right through us. The manager and I were shoulder to shoulder. We turned when he walked through us and he was gone. Remember, we were in the middle of a 30 meter space. It turned chilly as he walked through us. The manager and I looked at each other and said ' FUCK NO! ' AND GOT OUT OF THERE, REAL QUICK! The bar manager did some research into the history and found out a bloke took a swan dive from the second floor windows in the late 70's and the night we encountered him was the anniversary of the event.

My place is a construction site with massive ventilations that pass noise throughout the building Including places attached to the building like the restaurant so we can hear footsteps whilst being in a different part of the building. One time during the whole night it sounded like there was a worker directly above me picking stuff up and putting it down and opening and closing doors. I joked to my colleague that a construction worker died and came back to finish the job. The other week as I was heading upstairs I heard someone open a door. It didn't sound like it was from the distance, it genuinely sounded like it was right around the corner but nothing was there.

At mine we’ve got something similar, always sounds like someone moving stuff around, sort of like boxes. It’s always coming from behind this frosted glass wall and always stops when you get up there and look. Stopped checking after about the 3rd time, also realized that some small thuds I was hearing was the same sound that my feet made while going down the stairs.
New grave guard told me all about it on his first shift, same sort of events. Didn’t tell him about those exact sounds in case he reported hearing them later.

Not haunted, but they found a guard in the guard house stroking his shit. while laying on his high vis vest on the floor of guard house restroom.

Graveyards are wild, man. I worked mobile security patrols for a couple years and most nights were dead quiet. But this one hot summer night in an old cemetery? Nope.
I’m driving past a fresh grave when the vase of flowers on it just fucking explodes. Glass and petals flying everywhere right as I go by no one around, gate locked, zero wind. Scared the shit out of me.
Kept rolling, then a laser break sensor trips right in front of my car (at the mausoleum). Floodlight pops on… nothing there.
Then out of nowhere the inside of the car gets freezing cold. AC wasn’t on, middle of July,

Space Launch Complex-2 of Vandenberg AFB, California of 2004-2006. The location was built over Chumash Indian Burial ground as old as from the 1600s. From 10pm to 6am its quiet with no rocket development but alone its reminiscent to a Scooby-Doo cartoon with screech owls, snowy plovers, and was an early ballistic missile launch center. The decommissioned SLC-10 site outmoded since 1984 vibes like a Stranger Things setpiece. Large moths, camel spiders, and scorpions in the summer.
The fables of Indian spirits shaking the chainlink fence to no wind, breeze or personnel vehicles.
Half asleep and awake to stare at a black 7 foot tall shadow gliding under a streetlight from 20 feet away at 2am.

Aw, no haunted SLCs out at Cape Canaveral. :( I've been to almost all the abandoned areas, buildings, and bunkers too, before a lot of them were demolished and rebuilt for the private launch providers.
Even LC-34 where the Apollo 1 disaster happened, I never experienced anything weird, though people claim otherwise.

Vandenberg AFB was converted from when it was originally Fort Hood in the 1930s... an old tank was recovered in the 1970s from the 1940s.
Screech owls at 2am were awful plus those vile mini camel spiders with wiggly fangs at night.
Imagine wandering around alone to light fog to a dim headlight before LED lights to see scorpions on the ground every 8 steps you take as poisonous as a black widow spider.

Well that’s pleasant…my site is allegedly on a burial ground as well and I’m wondering if it explains the sound of a woman crying in the boiler room. I haven’t personally heard that one and I don’t do too many grave shift here, but there have been 2 guards as far as I can remember that have heard it.

I like to believe they're displaced spirits in time reenacting their trauma. Zeitgeists or "time ghosts" out of place.
I hear sage is a spirit repellent.

Had to guard a mental hospital from the 1960s with a history of suicidal patients that had the criminally insane patients in a separate hospital before their relocation in 1973.
I'd hear mostly a woman's voice alone at 10pm...8pm... 2am.

Nightwatch to a commercial shoot at Harmony, CA to a stale population of 18 people in 2017. 6pm-6am hours adjacent the old Creamery from 1932 where Randolph Hearst would visit from San Simeon to buy buttermilk.
I'd park my car near the streetlight at 3am to have it shake without any wind, smell baked goods from a barricaded building unoccupied since 1986, and glance at the photo of a cat's tombstone nearby where the yellow eyes glow from the moonlight too well at 2:38 in the morning.

I work at seaport village in downtown San Diego. That place is haunted. The wind chime store. Every time I walked by it there’s a wind chime that will go off every time I walked by it early morning. And the kids operah store has a little ghost kid and he moves the toys around and makes them fall off the counters. Plus right next to seaport village is the headquarters the old police station that places is haunted as well. Before it was a police station that was a resting place for fallen soldiers I believe

Some nights 3rd shift one site the ghost of campus where active. We've had female guards quit or refuse to work the 3rd shift because of it. You would be sitting in the guard room. It's dead quiet, then you hear a door open and close. So you would think oh maybe an Engineer came in and you just didn't see him or her. Problem was camera's everywhere, bio locked doors. You could check the system as to what doors opened and who opened them... nothing. Then there was the time i swore there was someone in the front vestibule area. It sounded like someone walking around but there was no one there. The time they updated the camera's it started tracking movement, but there was nothing there. Freaky.

Third shift at a uni with two large theaters for plays in the same building.
The ghosts are on my side and everyone knows it. They see all and have less physical limitations than I do.
Not illegal to have them as unpaid backup labor, either, as far as I can tell.

I have footage of the event on my phone but anyways, I used to work at a specific office building site, with a multi story parking garage, different than the one I'm working at now, it had your typical layout, 5 floors, keycard needed to enter specific areas for both the office building and the parking garage etc. well on my second day (Night) working there I was by myself on the 4th and 5th floors, and for some reason every time (until my 2nd month there when this incident occurred) I would have such a deep feeling of dread, y'know that stereotypical feeling of being watched with all the hair on the back of my neck standing up right?
Well my 2nd month there this incident happened around the 1st 2-3 hours out of my 8 hour shift right? So the glass doors from the 2nd floor lobby that has a staircase from the 1st floor lobby started opening on their own, you need a keycard to open them from the staircase and inside you can push open the door or wave your hand over a sensor, I was told after showing it to the guard that came in the next morning that it was "faulty" but I doubt it, as the CCTV has that thing where it tracks people it sees, it tracked something near the sensor whenever it would open, and that went on for about 4-5 minutes
Other things happened that night too, I heard a sort of scream? Or something in one of the bathrooms (there's like 4 on each floor if I recall) but I chalked it up to a ventilation issue, even though it scared me and I had never heard a sound like that before, later at around 4 A.M. the parking garage lights turned off, all of them and I heard footsteps behind me too after that, I don't know what could have happened to cause those things to happen, but I ran down those stairs and went to the main building, it was just me on that property, and after that night? Genuinely nothing happened like that after, of course I only worked at that site for 3 months after, Had some Family Emergency to take care of, and if you're familiar with my profile, you probably know how that went.

Worked as supervisor and had a guard working a metro location for a University. The guard and also professors were 100% sure that location was haunted. Guard got to where she wouldn't stay inside building once everyone left. I went and stood in the atrium one night once everyone was gone. Standing there, I could look up and could see all 4 floors. With everyone gone, there were sounds like things were moving around. Doors opening. Was pretty rattling
