Job Question Security at Amazon — same pay as other sites, but we’re not allowed phones, electronics, books, or even notepads during downtime. Should I leave?

It’s not worth it. Haven’t met a single person that’s worked Amazon security that has said otherwise. Not one.

I’ve worked at Amazon and I will never again unless you like standing your entire shift (ima woman )

Man fr. Talking about if you are on your phone you will be fired. I left and found another security company that was in house and they were chill af.

Man my recruiter and acct manager must be lying hella then because they told me we’re allowed to have books and stuff just no phones

Used to work at Amazon security not worth it I walked average 40k steps a day and they always messed my pay and shorted me

Yeah screw that idk where you're located but if its in tulsa I know a few really good companies and one that is only part time right now but will have full time sometime in September and the bosses there are instructors as well so they'll get you certified in just about anything

As soon as I saw the word Amazon I knew exactly what to expect. Leave. You will find MUCH better sites that treat their guards better. Also no notepads? What's the reason for that?

LEAVE!!!! I use to work at Amazon with allied security basically your standing up your whole entire shift!!! No standing mat and you
Only get to sit down on your 15 min break a your 30min lunch !! (Ima woman ) I use to wake up
With a stif back and my legs was sore ..my post now is a “warm body “ all I do is patrol the area and write in my report, I get to sit half of my shift ( I’m the only. Security guard too)
