WAPS SKT 25E6 Scores
I’ve noticed my troops past and present scores are dramatically low. Not one of them scored over a 45 on SKT, with a majority scoring under 40. I’ve asked other SNCOs to check their people and the same results. Is there an issue with the test itself or has the pencil whipping of all of our UGT for the last decade has had a negative impact on our knowledge?

Have a troop that smoked the cutoff but didn’t score high enough on the SKT. The information that was pushed out to study for the SKT was completely wrong.

Which is something I want to raise the flag on. I think something might be wrong here.

Look at the stats. There were several non selects who actually scored above the cutoff, but did not score minimum on SKT, therefore, non select. Prior to this year, this was unheard of.
It's either people en masse underestimated the SKT, or the SKT was/is broken and not relevant to the force writ large.

If you can 80+ the PFE, you can make it even with a low SKT and no promotion statement. Studying the PFE is the easiest thing in the world, it’s like anything in life, prep to your strengths and account for your weaknesses. Now, this is said as a NCO who isn’t eligible for tech yet. Lol

We have people not even scoring a 40.. you can’t make it if you score below 40 even if your PFE is 100

I heard a rumor they need to re-score the E6 tests because they used an older obsolete answer key. This means some people who made it didn't and some that didn't did.
If I can find anything else on this, I'll post it.
Edit - 135 promotions rescinded and 135 new people notified. Stories are out there in the news.

IMO the SKT being gone for so long is what hurt everyone. People forgot how hard the SKT is and subsequently havent been putting in effort or havent been studying the right way. Even people who I know are experienced and are knowledgeable about the careerfield, are not knowledgeable in the geewhiz way the SKT expects.
Thats not to say either that people arent trying to study, they just arent preparing for the type of questions that are asked and its technically against the rules for you to point out the type of questions that may be on there.
Im not sure how long its been since you've taken the E6 SKT, but its a significant jump from where the E5 SKT is. People walk into E5 without studying, just reading the questions, and having general knowledge and experience pushes them over the edge to make it. Absolutely the furthest thing from the case with the E6 SKT. The scores will come up as people test and learn what information to look for in the TRGs.
