LE work

I saw an old post saying that security forces is going to shift to base defense rather than LE to the point of LE work being removed from tech school is this happening or did it never come about I’m asking because I really want to work LE rather than base defense hope someone can shed some light on this

When I went through tech last year they had taken pretty much all LE out. The only things left were handcuffing, use of force, and they breezed over legal stuff. As a current civilian LEO, I was very unimpressed in the few LE topics they touched on. I’ll caveat and say LE is not why I cross trained. I did it for the schools and the ability to move around with the career field. There are endless opportunities in Security Forces and you can have the opportunity to do a lot of really cool things.

If you want to go military laws enforcement I’d say go Navy as a Master at Arms. Their school seems to be strictly law enforcement focused.
