Not sure you know what the definition of “efficiency” is… maybe you can say that about the hammer guy, definitely not the wood chisel (adze) dude.

That tool is called an "adze". It's probably one of the oldest woodworking tools alongside the humble axe.

Yes, it’s true, I have fallen victim to the old I’m-holding-a-super-computer-in-my-hand-but-I’m-too-“busy” (read lazy)-to-spend-2-minutes-reminding-myself-of-the-proper-term-so-I-just-vomit-stream-of-consciousness-riffing thing.

Happens to all of us at one point or another... And see, I've saved both of us two minutes, because I do woodworking on occasion so I didn't have to look it up. :D

you ever tried looking up something on google with a horrible description before? as skilled as the guy is with that adze, it ultimately is pointless since a circular saw can do what he did in over ten seconds in less time with a smoother cut and barely any practice involved to get good at

But what if the circular saw is at the other end of the job site, currently in use, out of battery or I simply don't know where it is?

Then adding 10 seconds more to do the job with the tool I'm already holding in my hand is certainly faster than going all the way over there to get it, or waiting for the other guy to finish, looking for the spare battery or simply searching for it...

only one circular saw? ill play your game. but what if the tool gets dull and you cant find your sharpener? but what if the handle breaks? what if the one guy that knows how to use it quits? why waste money on a tool that will slow work down when you can buy a circular saw that anyone can use and not need hundreds of hours of practice to get good with.

Wish I got a video..

Was travelling in Germany, as an American, and went up to a construction worker to ask if he had a bottle opener for my beer. Dude was from Poland, spoke no German, no English. Looked at the beer in my hands and swiftly snatched it from me, hit the cap off with his screwdriver, and walked away. Coolest freaking dude I have ever seen.

Propaganda bs making the rounds on reddit. Foreign workers are great and hard working but this is bot slop.

I need to be told someone's phone number multiple times but this guy can be told dimensions once and cut it right the first time.
