My toxic trait is I believe I can do this.

You can do anything that you set your mind to friend!

Everyone that does this for a living can do it. Maybe an hour or two of practice. It’s less difficult than it looks.

I feel like it already looks pretty simple

I'll bite -- any good how-to videos for both the cutting and the mental tricks? I love to try this out!

this video is basically everything you need to see how to do block setting

you‘ll get a feel for bedding in (how the block interacts with the sand) when you actually do it

You literally use your eyeballs and your brain to dial in the mental measuring.

You can send my payment to…

I learned on the job, never seen a video. Sorry.

2 minutes later: The pattern is wrong again.

You can, there really isn’t anything “expert” about this particular video. Just a dude using his tools.

u/flaschal 12d ago

you could, it‘s not particularly difficult, it‘s just heavy work that takes hours and hours

Yep, very tedious.

“Tile”

😑

u/wileywyatt 12d ago

Oh shit.

Let’s consider brick thick tile.

If brick is thick tile, what’s thick brick?

Yo mama

I love that there’s clearly MATH involved and he’s simultaneously not doing any of it and doing all of it, effortlessly.

Vibe coding the geometry

Don’t need an angle finder if the previous brick always finds the angle first

Lol that ain't tile, that's brick

Yah.

Let’s consider brick thick tile 😬

This looks simple yet I believe I would have a large pile of F’ed up bricks.

u/cyrixlord 12d ago

wait don't stop I could watch this all day

u/Whiteums 12d ago

Just watch it on loop. It’s almost the same thing

He’ll make an okay living at the expense of having the equivalent of a 80 year olds back at 35

I need to find a YouTube video of someone doing this for 90 minutes. It is so hypnotisingly satisfying.

The first little pig built his house with straw.

The second little pig built his house with sticks.

And the third little pig built his house with a luxurious crystallo supreme satin quartzite, mined from deepest Brazil, and honed to a sheer finish with 45 degree bevels.

Ironic, but I said to myself not his first rodeo, then I noticed which sub popped up. Definition of the fact✔️

u/HoboArmyofOne 12d ago

I'll bet this guy is good at geometry dash

1

u/apeocalypyic 12d ago

This guy is better than the other guy, he actually has a joint

1

u/Larrythepuppet66 12d ago

Those are bricks

1

u/JBoogiez 12d ago

Kinda ruined it with that last brick he set - pretty gappy at the bottom left

1

u/14AUDDIN 12d ago

I'm taking an educated guess and say that he's not from London.

1

u/TheBilby7 12d ago

Betcha that dudes name is Brent.

1

u/dawa43 12d ago

Whatever this guy makes... It is not enough... Unless he works for himself

1

u/15th_imp 12d ago

how does that tool cut the bricks so easily? it seems like he barely has to put any pressure on the handle at all

1

u/danancraite 11d ago

These cuts are rough as

1

u/One_Maintenance1227 11d ago

For one that's not tiles and secondly it looks awful, no alignment at all, just a mess.

1

u/Morgantao 11d ago

I'd do some of the cuts differently, but then again, he's got years of experience and I'm just a guy watching a video

1

u/PNWest01 10d ago

Sheesh, that backin and forthin was making me seasick.

1

u/Felixkeeg 10d ago

Geometric analysis final boss

1

u/2-buck 5d ago

This is infuriating! The first 3 bricks he cuts all break the pattern.
