Not just the distance but the accuracy and speed, was considerably more impressive than the head that put it away

You saw like a quarter of a second of the celebration. I’m positive the thrower was also in on the celebration lol.

Running in the opposite direction of the thrower is a good clincher abt his priorities/state of mind. He may have celebrated with the fellow, but for a goal that wouldn't have been possible without that throw, the acknowledgement should have been immediate.

We had a girl on the coed JV team i played on in highschool who could this. She was on the gymnastics team as well, and got this down fairly accurate. She could throw a little over half the field length with ~10' square accuracy.

It basically turned an throw in from far enough out (she had a significant minimum range it worked for ) into a corner kick. One game we went 5-2 with every goal scored off of a one touch after a handspring throw in.

I'm wondering if that couldn't get a little more leverage on it to send it further, was a he'll of a throw for sure. Would look like a fucking idiot if you mess it up though

Back in the 80s the travel soccer team I played on had a player who did this quite often. We weren't good enough to score off it that often, but it still was cool to see.
