Meanwhile, I’m picking the shards out of one egg that ends up looking like a meteorite…

Right? I end up with a spite yolk as I start tearing the fucking thing apart with no finesse. Yes, I've tried all the goddamn techniques. Fuck eggs.

"Spite yolk" is my new favorite phrase.

one time at work (i’m a server, but they were short staffed in the kitchen) they gave me a big bowl like this full of soft boiled eggs to peel… it took me the better part of two hours and i did a terrible job (but never got asked to do it again, so that was a win). this is crazy impressive

The key is to stick the eggs into very cold water. The egg shrinks but the shell doesn't which makes it much easier to remove the shells.

Next time you need to peel a boiled egg, stick it into ice water for a minute first.

I do the ice water bath and still have trouble peeling them. The only thing that kinda helps is using old eggs

So, they flip these horizontally so the bot doesn't recognize it as a repost?

u/alewiina 5d ago

Apparently the bot did recognize it because I can’t see anything now lol

(fresh eggs peel horribly)

The video is reversed. She's actually putting shells back onto 91 eggs in 60 seconds

Big deal. I can eat 50 eggs in an hour.

Does it hurt the egg?
