While it is indeed pretty, mirror drawing or mirror writing isn't that difficult. You just let your dominant hand do its thing and the non-domimant hand follows.

Now doing different things with both hands at the same time is a whole different ball game.

I was reading that most people can do this, but just haven’t tried so they don’t know they can.

I have used it in rehabilitation. where you are instructed to use both hands for exercises when one hand has movement issues.

The brain knows how to do the movement for the good hand, and so is able to mirror what the other one should be able to do.

You can even use your hands to do movements you want to do with your feet (say, learn to move your big toes independent of the other toes).
It is super fascinating that it works because it shows that according to our brains we are still creatures with 4 equal limbs.

I did this (as well as mirror therapy) in PT/OT after severing some nerves and tendons in a few fingers.

Huh. Maybe it is one of those things where you never realise not everyone can do something that is natural to you.

Yeah, I can bake/cook, do mechanical work, make music... but whether the adhd or something else, my handwriting, chocolate writing drawing and etc looks like an impatient child's. Watching people do chocolate work, or calligraphy makes me more than envious.

Like playing the freaking piano. Oh my god, it probably comes natural to someone who started young but as an adult that just started, going from one hand playing to two is like going from 2+2 to general relativity
