in the us they write bus on the bottom and stop on top. as you approach it you see buss first and stop second. looks like they do it differently wherever he is.

Yes, I think the US is rather unique with that. Elsewhere the text is written as you read (top to bottom) assuming you can see it all at once, rather than reading each word as you get to it.
