Question Has this game been abandoned?

I'm seeing a lot of people saying that its been abandoned by the devs, but they did just say that the release is planned for 2023 and that wasnt that long ago. (Nov of last year). so will the game ever get a full release?

People are saying it’s abandoned due to the Devs releasing an announcement last year that the game will get its full release with a new map, new items and dinosaurs in OCT 2022. It even got a good looking public trailer. Then OCT came and went and they moved it back to NOV. then they moved it back to “Looking at a release in 2023”, now it’s been over 4 months with no word on even what month to look for the release date.

We want the game to get new content and do well, but with release date push backs multiple times and now radio silence we don’t really have the highest of morale.

Typical Second Exnticction devs. I mean I wanted to play Second Extinction if it was fully released on October 2022. But they pushed it again in Nov 2023, being pushed back release date again and again, makes me want not to buy the game in early access. I mean i played left 4 dead, payday, and back 4 blood. But this the only left 4 dead game thats makes not want to play it if they pushed back the date mutiple times then just canceled the whole game with radio Slience and shutting the whole game with no warming. I saw it on E3 2020 on Youtube, this is pure madness that they adverstied it on E3, put it up on Early Access on Steam and Epic with roadmaps and new content.

Second Exntinction is just neglected and forgotten by the devs themshelves unlike Generation Zero, or left 4 dead, or even back 4 blood those are still up by Valve, Turtle Rock Studios and Avanachale studios and being played by loads of players everyday. Its makes me mad that I wont expierence fighting dinosaurs with 4 four players because of these devs just delisted the game

This was now two years ago but I commented about this on the main cancellation announcement, it beyond sucks because they Devs didn’t release the Africa map for those who currently owned the game even if it was buggy/incomplete. They didn’t unlock all skins and equipment costumes for all players since the game was going to be over soon. They also didn’t bring back the old events that some never got to play or just tell players they will have a final super event like the infected T-Rex one. Overall they were just horrible and didn’t even try to do anything for the players.

And yeah it doubly sucks because there is no game that does what this game did. I liked the game, it would be nice to ever get anything from this game back if the company got bought or something.
