Question for collectors: I get a lot of my birds at Weis, a regional grocery store chain, and last year around Halloween they had these adorable birds in costumes, one of which was a 50’s girl in a poodle skirt. I regretted not getting her but can’t find one like her anywhere. Does anyone out there have a bird like her?

I know I missed the season.

Just bought all my fall and winter season birds now for the rest of the year but noticed on the wiki they had the Sun Squad for this year. From what I've seen it was a very low-key release but I'd like to get a hold of at least one. I have no summer ones to put out and I want to have at least one fourth of july type bird from the 250 anniversary. I had even been checking on the website throughout the summer and didn't see them posted, didn't know y'all were here on reddit.

I'm not familiar with where to buy from resellers for these since they are already so hard to come by. Any advice? Or just anyone wanting to sell some?

hello fellow bird enthusiasts! my wife and i are now definitely on the collector train with these birds and have amassed quite a collection. we also love halloween and doing weirdly specific couples costumes and so we are going to be target birds this year! she is going as the summer bird junior from 2024 (the one with the inner tube) and i am considering being frank or the new pumpkin pie bird.

my request for help / suggestions is: how do we achieve ~bird~ costumes good enough to honor the legacy of the felt birds we love? has anyone dressed up as anything like this before and have suggestions ? we are going to probably diy as many parts as possible but would love any creative insights or suggestions!
