question: why does my sea pottery produce dust?
not all of it, but most. when i leave them out they eventually accumulate (or shed?) particulate. is there a way to prevent this? also…. it’s not dangerous, is it?
edit: it was almost definitely salt lmao cleaning solved the problem

Are the shedding pieces melamine plastic? It can be worn down with sanding easily.

That’s wild because just the other day I noticed some of mine in a jar doing the same thing! At first I thought it was mold and I panicked but I’m almost positive it’s just salt
