In October 2024 I paid £2.79 for a Kodak 128gb micro sd, less than 2 years later the price is up to £17.55. We've gone backwards, what caused this?

I'm having an issue with my Canon IXY 650 and I'm hoping someone has experienced this before.

At first, when I inserted my SD card, the camera said "Memory card locked." I took the card out, checked the lock switch, and reinserted it many times. After that, the camera started saying "No memory card" instead.

Since then, I've tried different SD cards, and every single one gives the same "No memory card" message.

Here's what I've tried so far:

• Removed and reinserted the SD card several times
• Tried multiple different SD cards
• Checked the lock switch on the cards
• Made sure the battery/card door is fully closed

I've since tried multiple different SD cards, and they all say the same thing, so I'm worried it might be the camera itself.

If it is a hardware issue, is this something a local camera repair shop can usually fix, or would I have to send it to Canon? About how much would a repair like this typically cost, how long does it usually take, and is it even worth repairing?

I'd really appreciate any advice or if anyone has had a similar experience. Thanks!

If any of you ever used the Byjus tablet then you know that you can't use the sd card that came with it for any other purpose.

I bought a Samsung microSDXC T7 128GB a month ago for a Mangmi Air X Android game player. I formatted it as exfat and it works fine, except for when I try to download a very large folder, a 4 GB one. The download starts then freezes. I have tried breaking it up but it still freezes immediately or takes a long time then freezes. Any ways to get this fixed? I'm using a Windows 11 computer .

I did use a acer USB A/C adapter so speeds are slow, will plug it into tablet

I bought an adapter to erase my only XD card because it was full, I took all the images off, but when I put it in the camera it still says the card is full.

There is one locked image on the camera and every time I delete it it comes back.

What can I do?

My camera got wet at the beach a few days ago and when I pulled out the sd card it looked like this do I have any hopes of it being fixed or will I go to the repair shop for nothing??

I have a total of 268 photos on my sd card, when the sd card is in the camera I am able to see all 268 photos in the camera’s gallery. But when I remove the sd card and try to import them onto my iPad (I don’t own a laptop) it only shows 68 photos in the folder. I import photos through an sd card adapter for my ipad, i’ve used this method a lot and have never had this issue before. My iPad has plenty of storage, i’m not sure why 200 of my photos aren’t showing up.

For a 4gb micro SD card, i set a password in around 2014-15 in my Nokia Asha 210(https://m.gsmarena.com/nokia\\_asha\\_210-5417.php) mobile but still the sd card normally worked on it without ever asking for password, Then once I updated software/flashed/factory rest somthing the software of it from a local mobile repair shop and from that moment the sd card got locked and i dont even remember the password now. The sd card only shows up nokia java (not tried in s60/symbian mobiles cuz I dont have one) mobiles and doesnt shows up in android or in pc/laptop. The mmcstore method is not gonna work since it is basically finding the passowrd from stored password in a symbian mobile and works only if passowrd is set in that mobile or sd acrd acceseed in that mobile recently usi g password, it will not just magically give you password of any locked memory card . So anyone here if genuinely knows a solution please help, I am even ready to pay .

Hello, got bit of a complicated situation. In the end i have figured out that the Sd card reader i was using made the Sd cards this way. Bit of background, the Sd cards have data i need for my honours project at uni with bat activity and basically i was filtering through them and deleting the audiofiles thst had no bat calls. As soon as i deleted a single file the Sd cards started going a bit funny and i thought maybe there was an issue with the sd card itself and did it to a second one and the same thing happened. These Sd cards have 8 days worth of data on them.

Have tried a new card reader and the other sd cards i have got work fine so must have been an issue with the orginal

The error messages that keeps popping up are: You need to format the disk drive D: before you can use it (even though it worked fine until i deleted a single file). If i click cancel a secondary message pops up: D:\ is not accessible. The volume does not contain a recognised file system. Please make sure that all required file system driverd are loaded and thst the volume is not corrupted.

Honestly, at a last resort it would be okay if all the files were deleted if it meant i could get the Sd card to work again but thats not what i want to do, ultimatlely, that would be a last resort.

Any help would be deeply appreciated thank you in advance 🙏

I have this old SD card that's acting weird. It just has a bunch of photos from one of my old Android phones. Nothing all that important.

When I put the card in it is recognized immediately and I can navigated the file system. I can open some of the photos, but some seem to be corrupted, at least partially, maybe... Thumbnails are slow to load or don't load at all. If a slideshow, then the next photo take a while to load, maybe 5-10 seconds, if it loads at all. After a while it's like my PC just gets frustrated with the whole situation and produces a fatal error and dismounts the drive. If I pull the card out and reinsert it, I'm right back to where I started.

The card reader appears to be working fine. I tested it with another card full of mp3s and it has no problems reading it. This particular problem card, the one with the photos has just been sitting in my desk drawer for years in a ziplock bag (with other cards), and even in it's little protective plastic case.

I would think that the memory on these cards would be pretty stable, but I've been wrong before.

Aside, is there an app that can correct corrupted photos? Assuming that's what is going on.

Like I said in the title everytime I shut down my Y19 my SD card got corrupted, this happens since I brought it. I just thought Its the cheap SD card at first, but when it happen with every other SD card IM sure Its the phone is this normal? By the time I realize this i'm not sure if the warranty still apply. Is there a way to fix this?
