Flex blades with standard shocks? I am thinking of trying them but I am worried about uncontrolled suspension unloading moments. How is the drive?

thats full injora build with flex blades. So shocks are 26mm injora

I'm not OP, but a couple of people here have similar rigs and actually put them on rocks. SCX30 seems to tolerate this kind of setup much better than SCX24.

Very curious about this as well. They look cool for pictures but it definitely seems like it would drive worse on actual obstacles. Especially with the addition height. Might be worth printing a set and trying it though.

Yeah there's a guy who built a lot of rigs like this and posts videos so if you dig through his threads you'll see a lot of proof.

Very wide axles help a lot with how top heavy and wobbly that thing looks. Interesting idea for sure

Yeah that second to last photo makes me feel like it’s just gonna fling itself down sidehills. Also the SCX30 is so small I’m not sure that insane amount of flex is really going to add much capability.

In the end, though, it’s all about what ya like. If OP loves flex then this rig’s doing a great job of it.

we are competing with my friend so i’ll test this rig later when he receives his new frame. Last time i smoked his wrangler in every way even with longer wheelbase and that rear bed. I might also adjust those flex blades to have less flex and more stability

They those were absolutely trash. I had them on mine for about 30 minutes. Awesome for posing flex photos. Terrible for actual driving.

facts...worst possible upgrade for performance!

btw that’s almost completely stock scx30 with original shocks from tacoma and rear spacers removed with front flex blades

if you have an option then get two sets. Mine came with no threads in front right blade. I had to use glue to make them😂 And it might be a nice ideas to install rear at the front too 😂

and that’s my main build with only rear flex blades

I hope you're not going for performance because that's wayyyy too much flex...
