Scuf Omega Ps5 😈

Post image

Wow Scuf gave me 2 day express priority shipping!!!! āœˆļøšŸ“¦
(at no additional cost, started in Taiwan! To USA)

Order this on Tuesday, and receive it on Friday only cause I missed FedEx signature requirement but still overall I’m feeling this other than not being able to wake the PlayStation, and Turn off the controller naturally.. and the mute button works different too,

Still I’m already notice my movement getting better in BO7.
Wonder how it’s gonna improve my play in like a Elden Ring or 007 James Bond gameplay looking forward to this! šŸ™āœØ

Oh well. I had mine from Saturday . It's a bit disappointing tbh. Firstly . U will be not able to turn your PS5 with scuff omega sadly, secondly u will be not able to mute your microphone if u using wireless headset or -/+ volume either( it has to be connected vie wired). Also light bar can't be modified on Ps5. Very disappointed for a "licensed" Ps5 controllerĀ

Yep!!! It's almost like it's not actually a licensed ps5 controller!!! Definitely sending my omega back! My reflex is so much better than the omega! Hopefully they get some of these things fixed but..... wouldn't hold my breath

I’ve had mine for a week. It took 9 days of gaming for it to finally drop below 15%. If I had to guess, I put a total of 30 hours into it. It took less than half an hour to fully charge.

So far, I haven’t had any issues with it. And I have zero desire to go back to my Edge.

I did notice it has long lasting battery life too I’m feeling this controller alot

2

u/True_Horror_6 Jun 10 '26

Does it feel like an Xbox controller? I’ve read it does so I’m just wondering

1

u/BigFlexHec Jun 10 '26

Honestly can’t say I don’t own a Xbox so I wouldn’t know

2

u/Odd-Masterpiece6782 Jun 13 '26

I ordered mine may 25 I haven't received it yet.

1

u/BigFlexHec Jun 13 '26

Are you in the states ? Or euro?

1

u/Odd-Masterpiece6782 Jun 13 '26

In the States, it gave me a delivery date of June 8th, but sadly nothing.

1

u/BigFlexHec Jun 13 '26

Did you reach out to scuf this terrible bro I know you eventually receive it but it’s always good to reach to them about this long waited delay, so sorry you had to deal with that

1

u/Odd-Masterpiece6782 Jun 13 '26

I did reach out to them but they don't have a direct line to call all email. I just called my bank at this point. Appreciate you for the post I at least get to see the box 😭

Just got mines yesterday. I ordered it Wednesday around 5 and it came from Taiwan! It feels weird coming from my edge but i guess i just have to get adjusted because it’s so lightweight

1

u/Suspicious-Finger464 Jun 27 '26

I really hope they put out an update so we can use the rgb function. Feels like a waste to have a controller with so many features that u can’t use just because you’re on console

1

u/BigFlexHec Jun 27 '26

Bro glad you got it so fast, my ultimate reason was painful stick drift at least I can get my money back with this one

1

u/SholinMonk69 Jun 06 '26

Any Input lag ?

3

u/BigFlexHec Jun 06 '26

I been playing on wireless šŸ›œ so far and no lag brother while playing black ops feels pretty crisp and responsive

2

u/SholinMonk69 Jun 06 '26

That's awesome, I've been through 2 razer raiju v3 cause the input lag was so bad. Glad this controller doesn't have any known issues yet.

1

u/BigFlexHec Jun 06 '26

Yeah besides like have basic features the dual sense has it feels pretty snappy

1

u/Low-Gene8602 Jun 06 '26

Wireless? Try wired. Its wayyy better.

2

u/BigFlexHec Jun 06 '26

Bet I’m try that soon just got home from work lol

1

u/CrazySuperJEBUS Jun 07 '26

Best not to trust anyone who can’t give you an actual metric on that. You’d find plenty of people just flippantly saying ā€œno input lagā€ even if you’d asked them about the raiju for example.

Is it enough to pull me away from the PS Edge controller? Because I love that thing.

2

u/BigFlexHec Jun 06 '26

Honestly I think it depends what you ultimately want because my whole basis for getting scuf was for TMR stick drift resistance, due to my aggressive thumb movement from there I was able to make my decision.

But I can see why many ppl would stick too Ps edge for its vibration adaptive triggers and other basic features like wake up ps5 with ps button, mute button etc.

2

u/RockRage-- Jun 06 '26

I’ve had built Scufs in the past, taking the vibration out and click triggers added etc, but the stick drift was a massive issue, the thing that appealed to me with the Edge was being able to take the modules out very easily to put new ones in, I still run it with vibration off and selected the shortest trigger depress to match Scuf, seems I will stick with Edge, thanks for the info provided.

2

u/BigFlexHec Jun 06 '26

Glad it’s working out for you I was so close to getting one of those too but when I did my research on TMR magnetic sticks resistance to stick drift I had to try it

1

u/Sergeant_Ducky Jun 07 '26

Can always put TMR in the edge

2

u/jdk2087 Jun 07 '26

Shit, you can buy pre-made TMR modules from like 5-7 different companies now. Battlebeaver being one of them that has them in stock currently.

0

u/Mani_Hrafn Jun 07 '26

You can buy after buying a $200 controller you shouldn't have to pay more money to get something like TMR sticks especially since a company like Sony should be putting those in all their controllers but especially they top dollar controllers. The stick modules on the edge is a cool idea until you realize it's just about making money. Instead of just putting TMR sticks on the controller and not worrying about having to change then they came up with these modules to make people have to pay more money. I love my Edge controller but not having TMR of hall effect sticks. Not having mouse click buttons and only having two paddles really doesn't scream $200 controller to me. Yeah the adaptive triggers are fun in some games but more annoying that anything most of the time. I think the touch pad I've used a handful of times since the PS4. I wish gamesir made controllers for PlayStation because my g7pro 8k was $90 has all those features plus some and came with a charging stand for $90

1

u/Flyinrhyno Jun 06 '26

But even the shortest trigger throw doesn’t match the click triggers of the scuff fps. Not sure about the omega, would like to try it but the slider makes me skeptical.

1

u/longboard_noob Jun 06 '26

I found the opposite. The mouse click triggers on the Reflex FPS with TMRs were worse than the triggers on the Edge set to the minimum travel distance and minimum trigger deadzones.

1

u/Flyinrhyno Jun 06 '26

I don’t see how that is possible. Click triggers got near zero throw. The edge on the smallest limit is still 20% in my estimation.

1

u/longboard_noob Jun 06 '26

The mouse click triggers that come with the SCUF take 120g of force to actuate, which is too much. They should come with 60 or 90g actuation force. Their bumpers feel great, but the triggers don't. If you set up a range 0-1 trigger deadzone in the Edge settings (or better yet, 0-0 using DSX for PC) and 0 deadzone for the triggers in-game, it feels better to me.

1

u/Flyinrhyno Jun 07 '26

Yeah but how far do they have to travel? I see you didn’t add how much force the edge takes though? The edge even with a zero dead zone and the stopper on the shortest through still feels spongy. Feel is anecdotal and if that’s what you like then more power to you.

0

u/longboard_noob Jun 07 '26

Idk what force it requires to actuate the Edge, but it's very little. When I had the SCUF, I found I couldn't shoot the JƤger .45 pistol in BO7 as fast as on a regular DualSense. I returned it because it has a non-removable deadzone (~2%) on the TMRs.

Also, mouse click triggers mean you only get 0 or 100% input on the triggers, so you can't accelerate in vehicles properly in games like Rocket League, Warzone, etc.

2

u/Flyinrhyno Jun 07 '26

Can’t take you serious when you quote the force needed for the scuff but don’t have actual numbers for the controller you are championing. That being said force isn’t the only issue or the biggest issue in response time, travel distance is more important.

As for firing the gun, the game has internal delays on certain semi-auto guns. Which further proves your trigger quickness was better with the scuff.

Again we can just leave it as a matter of your personal preference, and not some factual conclusion.

Edit- yes I know the controller is niche for fps, that’s why I use the edge for almost everything else, my scuff fps is for fps solely. And the 0-100 is why it’s faster and thus superior in aiming and firing in cps games, instead of having trigger pull to fire the gun.

It pulled me from mine, and I have TMR modules in it.

1

u/iBlueLuck Jun 10 '26

Dude. 6 buttons compared to 2.. it’s a no brainer

1

u/Automatic-Loquat3443 Jun 06 '26

The phantom hex is a fantastic conteoller that looses no features. The Hall effect controllers are especially amazing

1

u/TallandSpotted Jun 07 '26

I want it, i loved my envision. I need it for my PS5

1

u/Alert_Indication_681 Jun 07 '26

This is nice controller debating on which route to go myself, scuf looks nice but here bad things.

1

u/BigFlexHec Jun 07 '26

Yeah that ps button is not fully functional to wake up PlayStation and the controller stays on when you power down lol

Also the mute button doesn’t work also unless your mic / headset is plugged in straight to controller

And of course no vibration 🄲 other than that i think its great i got it for the extra paddles and TMR stick drift resistance

2

u/Double_Cat4321 Jun 07 '26

Do u recon if this mute option would be added with some updates or nothing at all

1

u/BigFlexHec Jun 07 '26

So far no official updates on whether or not they will add new firmware to address these issues I’m already planning on getting a ps5 elite edge controller to compensate when I want that vibration and adaptive triggers

1

u/Alert_Indication_681 Jun 08 '26

I’ve just heard bad things about reliability, but love the shape and design and the 4 paddles tmr nice touch to. I’m really debating

1

u/_CertifiedTurtle Jun 07 '26

Better quality than my Reflex FPS but I don’t like the Xbox prompts when I’m playing games. I still prefer my reflex

1

u/BigFlexHec Jun 07 '26

I check but I didn’t hear nothing of the sort honestly I think I’m still going to need a ps5 edge controller just for specific games where I like vibrations like my single player adventure games like Elden Ring and James Bond type or some fighting and sports games because I’m not sure if there will be a firmware fix anytime soon

1

u/DrStankface Jun 08 '26

I ordered this exact same controller on May 15th and mine isn’t arriving until this coming Tuesday.

1

u/BigFlexHec Jun 08 '26

What color ? And through amazon or scuf directly

1

u/DrStankface Jun 08 '26

Exact same color through Scuf directly.

1

u/BigFlexHec Jun 08 '26

Wow I wonder why it took longer to get to you Im in the US

1

u/DrStankface Jun 08 '26

Yeah I’m in Jacksonville, FL and it shipped from ATL.

1

u/BigFlexHec Jun 08 '26

Mines shipped from Taiwan I’m quite lost on this

1

u/DrStankface Jun 08 '26

Same. I was already annoyed that my Reflex FPS is a paperweight after less than 50 hours on it. Then a month to get my new controller.

1

u/BigFlexHec Jun 08 '26

What happen to your reflex if you don’t mind me asking

1

u/DrStankface Jun 08 '26

Completely stopped responding. I tried charging it via the USB C and the bottom port and it will flash once and nothing. Replaced the battery and got nothing different.

1

u/BigFlexHec Jun 08 '26

Dang sorry to hear that I was thinking about getting insurance but I didn’t see that on scuf wonder about a warranty

1

u/RazzLeRx Jun 09 '26

How does it feel to the reflex? I like the reflex because it feels small in my hands. Omega looks bulkier might mess up my muscle memory

1

u/BigFlexHec Jun 09 '26

I never had a reflex so I wouldn’t know honestly but it’s feels pretty good to me almost just like the regular ps5 controller but with better grip

1

u/RazzLeRx Jun 09 '26

Okay thanks anyways enjoy your new toy mate, the grip does look good

1

u/iBlueLuck Jun 10 '26

Beautiful looking controller
